UT fans, what do you think of Kiffin?

You had to love that designed 1st play. Haven't seen any UT fans today, so I may be talking to myself.

Looks like he scripted up a good start to the game obviously and our defensive staff's plan to stop Cooper coming in...was....bad.
But I do like the adjustments we made and pretty much shut y'all down after the 1st qtr.
Proud of my Vols...last 4 years have been 30+ losses.
A two TD loss is a step in the right direction, no matter if Bama wants to admit it or not.

I guess it's good Bama fumbled a couple of times, once going into the end zone. And lost our best OL. That might have helped your D just a little.

I've always said that Kiffin is a very good offensive mind. He has a tendency to get away from what works and try to get cute sometimes and we saw that last night.
BTW, Cooper is a beast. That 2nd TD route was a thing of beauty (I watched it develop as it was coming right towards me). I said on the VOLS board last night that I think Cooper is better than Julio Jones atp and I stand by that.

Yes it is. UT is young and is on the way back. They'll be a force in a couple of years. UT was like an ER patient yesterday. The Dr pried back an eyelid and the pupils reacted to light.

My only complaint with the game Kiffin called is the WR screen on 2nd and 1. Pass as thrown behind the WR, we lost a couple of yards, and suddenly it's 3rd and 3, than a busted play and we have to punt. Needed to just run the ball and get that 1st down on 2nd ...or at least a play where we weren't going to have negative yardage.
I thought the design of the first play of the game was pure genius. Fake the handoff to Coop coming around, when he didn't get the ball the defense relaxed on him.

I think the media and the vocal minority of our fans made out the whole "omg Kiffin is coming to Knoxville!!" to be way bigger than it really was.
The only people who I know that really think that way and get stewing mad about Lane Kiffin are:
1) The casual fan who just parrots what they hear. Aka, my brother in law. Watches no games but loves to comment on the state of college football.
2) The fans with low IQ.
So, basically, the equivalent of all Bama fans.
Oh and to answer your question. He good.
