Some of you will be monitored more closely from here on out. No doubt UFs football program is in a miserable situation. I am completely fine with those that want to speculate about the future, etc. Being down on the team/players is fine as well.
However, I am done reading those that bitch about everything. No need to kick, scream, and whine about everything. We aren't going to do that in every post on this board. Not only is the post quality poor, but often times it hijacks the direction of the thread.
If you want to bitch, go do it on the rant. You will get a ton of people involved and you can make fun of UF together.
Consider this the one and ONLY warning.

I understand the sentiment. It really is an infection of negativity, and at least we ought to discuss things in a more positive tone.

...We want to talk about our team on our team board but can't do so because it's negative? I saw the nevermind, and I hope it's sign that this is clearly a wrong direction to go in.

Not at all. There's a difference in being negative and bitching.
I'm fine with criticism of the coaches and team.
When negativity is so consistent and repetitive in its form, it turns into a bitch fest. That is something that reflects poorly on post quality and takes the board in the wrong direction.

I literally say this with all respect but: This is the rant. A rant is literally something that's supposed to be kinda long winded and hyperbolic. Let's just not force anyone to do anything, and ignore those who bitch too much.
Threatening to get people removed from the board is just not a good idea at all.

Ok, game threads, I'll admit I can be a bit negative (but more of heat-of-the-moment types) 
. That said, I try to be reasonable as best as I can.
No matter what, I do enjoy the variety of opinions and certainly like this board the best

I think a heavy hand is necessary...when a dark cloud is constantly showing on this board it does get old.
Does any one think I like losing? Ive been a Gator since 1962 and have seen the highs and lows trust me.
The internet...while a great vehicle for communicating...its also a great place for hidden desk jockeys to vent their every fricking frustration. I sometimes wonder if some of you are just unhappy people and your the ones who bitched about going 12-0 back in 2009 because we weren't flashy and didn't score as many points as you thought we should have?
It is very evident that a lot of you want a coaching change....but if Muschamp rights this ship then you may not get your wish. My advice is to follow another team and jump on their bandwagon.
Im proud we have a coach who does things the right way with an athletic director who values qualities other than Ws if he thinks that the coach is building something... and nobody can deny the stout defense we have...the offense can be fixed.
If we change coaches...so be it...until then I will support players and coaches.

It's not about negativity. I am negative as hell right now in regards to the UF football program.
It's about saying the same stuff over and over in the same thread. That is bitching. Nobody is getting banned for being negative. I just don't want the negativity to become repetitive in the same thread by the same person.
I'll be honest, I like every poster in here. This thread was mainly created because it's about to get really ugly as a UF fan and I don't want implosion on this board. I could already seeing it move in that direction at times and want to avoid it.

I agree. We need to keep that perspective moving forward instead of getting upset about where the team is currently at.

I get that it can be incessant for the most part but I'm with you man -- we just need to realize that this is going to be a down season or two. We'll hire a damn good coach (I hope) and we'll be outta this mess before any of us even know it.
I totally empathize, but just don't let it get to you. I actually don't think it'll be that bad once we make the hire -- unless we make an unbelievably bad hire.
And then I think all of us won't be on this board much longer.

Here's an unsolicited outsider's perspective so feel free to disregard as I certainly don't know your board or fanbase as well as you do. However, I do have some experience with what you're addressing as well as what your fanbase is going through.
First, I don't think there's any way to stop what's happening and may well continue to happen given UF's situation - not completely. Fans are understandably upset. We all make a big emotional investments in our teams and when things go south so do our emotions. And during this time frame (in which you are at a very low point with your team and coach) people do need to vent and even bitch about things. The rant will eat posters alive if it's brought there but negative or overly critical posts that are posted on your team board can be countered with positive posts from others - there are always rays of light but no one on the rant is going to point them out. People here might.
Second, if you come down too hard you risk losing good posters who may look for other 'homes.' I don't think UF will stay down for very long and I think your fans will be very hopeful/relieved when/if Muschamp's finally fired. When Dooley was fired we were overjoyed and it dispelled a lot of negativity. Of course, we've been down a lot longer and are still prone to bouts of Battered Fan Syndrome but it's getting better for us. UF hasn't been down much at all so I really don't think you have to worry about the board turning in a bad direction long term.
Finally, I know all too well how annoying/painful it can be to see your own bitch constantly and never see the silver lining in anything. But again, it's normal when you go through this and it's not something you can wholly prevent but you might be able to mitigate it some by countering it with other points as well as the good things that are happening. For the most part, I think UF and this board will be fine once the coaching situation is settled.

When you look at the hire of Jones and Stoops to name two newer HCs in the SEC..the one common trait they possess is the relentless effort spent on recruiting and the same especially is true about Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss. I think Jones can bring a lot of success to UT but fan bases have short memories. You guys are a few OL & DL away from winning a lot more games....and in the case of the OL....they need maturing and then depth. Recruiting isn't easy at UT when you have to poach from other states.
We have recruited well during Muschamp's tenure but it was heavy handed towards defense. But I understand what Boom was trying to do...create a tough nose defense and honestly defense wins hardware. Look at Miss State, I watched them closely on Saturday and their OL & DL is the best in the SEC and that's why they are #1 in the country. Boom hasn't had success with offense and therein lies all the frustration.
SEC fans have become awfully spoiled at every school and its a reflection of society imo..I mean...fans getting all riled up at Saban? Are you kidding me? He has a young overall team. and they will be a lot tougher soon. Miles? Lose one game and the fans are freaking talking about coaches they'd like to hire.
