If its Peterman or Dobbs I'm about to lay down some cash on Bama +17.

Do they burn Dobbs' redshirt and play him? I'm guessing if Worley is out just for one game, then you probably don't. But if he is out for the rest of the season, then do you go ahead and burn it so that you can play for those extra bowl practices?

Coaches are being very quiet about it. He hasn't thrown a single pass all week and Dobbs/Peterman have split all the 1st team reps.
I'll be shocked if he plays tomorrow.

Rumors going around that he has something torn in his throwing shoulder, but all the coaches are saying is he is "extremely banged up."

Peterman is expected to start tomorrow.

Bama would win by 17 if only their defense played against a Peterman led Vols offense.

We keep hearing both Peterman and Dobbs. Lately they say Peterman may start but Dobbs will see the field (which I don't understand because the goal has been to redshirt Dobbs). If we are going to start Peteram *cringe* why burn Dobbs' redshirt?

TBH, I hope a lot of this is the coaches being tight-lipped about it all and the reporters going wild with the fact both Dobbs and Peterman getting 1st team snaps.

IOW, we're not quite sure who is starting or how bad Worley's injury is but I'm almost positive that if they're considering burning Dobbs' redshirt then Worley's injury is at least several games out.

Peterman is our version of Driskel. I want the kid to do good, he has all the tools but come game time it's all pain and agony.

Lord have mercy on us.

Imma put this little ESPN tidbit in this thread since it's about UT QB's....
quote:

In fact, longtime Tennessee follower Brent Hubbs of Volquest.com dug up a stat this week that's staggering. In their last 35 SEC games, the Vols have thrown 42 touchdown passes and 57 interceptions while starting five quarterbacks.

quote:

What's all this have to do with Kiffin?

Upon taking the Tennessee job, he sent word to a couple of quarterbacks the Vols had committed under the previous regime that they needed to look elsewhere -- and they did.

Their names? Tajh Boyd and Bryce Petty.

Did I mention we could've easily had Bo Wallace as well? He dreamed of being a Vol but neither Kiffin nor Dooley offered.

How cursed were those two? And please Gawd let the curse be over. (I think/hope/pray it is because honestly Dormady and Jennings are looking great their senior years in high school - they've shown big time talent as prospects).

I guess Phil recruited Crompton... Willie Martinez to this day still pisses his pants if you sneak up behind him and say “Crompton”.
