Hopefully, this game Saturday night reignites the rivalry to its proper place so the youngsters can understand that LSU is our true rival. MIssissippi State was always an after thought when I was in school.
Plus it just pisses State off when they realize we care more about beating LSU than them.

They are very hateable when they don't suck. But same could be said for a lot of historically sucky teams.

Sounds like the younger fans are more realistic. Worry about beating your instate big brother MSU before worrying about out of state big brother LSU.

I think it depends on who a person is surrounded by. I live in the MS Delta so I have to deal with State fans crowing when they win an Egg Bowl. Then you have TA, who lives among the corn dogs and he would much rather Ole Miss win the Magnolia trophy than the golden egg.

Pretty much, I would say. I will say this, there was a lot of pure hatred going around here circa November-Dec 2012. Last year when y'all beat LSU it wasn't nearly that bad.
