You aren't handling the criticism well.

Neither Harbaugh nor Kelly are coming back to the college game next year. Let's just get that out of the way.

This Holliday guy sounds intriguing. I can't believe his name is Doc.

Kelly's obviously a great football coach but by the time he finally left the Ducks, both the administration & the fans had gotten tired of all the BS associated with his program. And he had more than his share of POS's: does Fla want a return to those days?

I think Kelly to UF would be a homerun hire.

If Kelly gets it, Jon Gruden is going to be so disappointed. They tell me he arm wrestled Bill Cowher for the job and already has his bags packed.

Oregon's program was heavily invoved with street agents like Willie Lyles when he was the coach out there. Is Florida desperate enough to hire someone like that?

Was Willie Lyles the one that was shopping Lache Seastrunk?

Ole Willie musta had a contact at AU back during that time too 'cause AU recruited Lache pretty heavy at one time.

Gruden has a beachfront condo just 5 minutes from where I live...also diddy Monte Kiffin had a condo in the same complex.

Id much rather have Gruden than Kelly...but Gruden loves pro football. He doesn't get his salary anymore from the Glazers after being fired from the Bucs and the TV gig let him get both. He is now free to accept coaching job and not worry about losing of his 4+ mil a year buyout.

College coaches normally get real tired of the pro game quickly because of the countless hours required and its strictly business and too serious for some....even Saban. College coaches get to teach and develop....pro coaches deal with agents, prima donnas with huge salaries.

Jim Donna opines on Chip to Florida

First, I think the chances of this happening are extremely low, but I would post Jim Carey dumb gif here. There are some people who had some credibility that are saying that indeed, there is some Florida connection with Chip, and there is big chatter on this, although I tend to think is a distraction.

Doc Holliday will never be the coach at Florida for the same reason Dan Mullen won't be either- no coach from the Urban tree will be truly considered.

Third Foley knows this has to be a home run hire- so I'm pretty sure Chip and Harbaugh will be offered, The chatter is Freeze (which I think won't happen either), and Rich Rod.

What will happen? Who the hell really knows.

A lot of Jimmies would be rustled if CCK landed in Gainesville.

I would be for this.

I still don't know why he would leave such a good thing in Philly. Maybe he can't stand the annoying-arse fans.

But if he came to florida, that would be the biggest home-run hire possible, basically.

What a ridiculous statement.

Yes, he would recruit at an elite level, but so do several SEC programs.

Lache was ours to lose, but we dropped him for some reason. Maybe Willie

You know it's the ultimate home run hire when everyone in this thread is absolutely terrified of it happening and not one person is saying something to downplay the impact it would have. Florida would 100% run shite.

No shite. Hi - my team is 5-1 and on the way back. I make $6.5M and I am going to leave for a job where I have to set up my entire staff again and have to rebuild a program from scratch and probably won't make as much money as I do here, nor will I have the same type of job security.

Sounds like an awesome plan.
