Stupidity of what statement?
Last yr, UTn had to not turn the ball over, and they could beat UF. The offense was non existent.
This yr, the same thing. Throwing the ball downfield and turning the ball over whether it be Int's or sack fumbles.
All you have to do is put together a ridiculously conservative gameplan to beat UF. The defense brakes eventually because they are on the field the entire game.
You guys are recruiting well. Zook and WM are both really good recruiters and fiery personalities. Looks like you guys got yourself a good recruiter but someone whose ability I question on game day. Good luck.

I can't even deal with the stupidity of this statement. Look at the mess Dooley left the program in. These freshman UT has right now are the first freshman on campus that CBJ has had a full season to recruit. Just wait till the Vols are back, because when they are, its going to be scary.
Dooleys mess cant even come close to Nutts mess because, he beat Houston Nutt 52-14. Then Nutt came back the next year and went 2-10 while Dooley went 5-7....

I would agree with that thus far. No excuse to losing to FL at home this year. At all.
I am not a fan of keeping Bajakian as OC, tbh. He has veteran SEC coaches on D, and look how much they have improved from last year to this year.
But on the flip side, Dooley not recruiting a single o-lineman in 2012 and our lack of depth there is destroying us.
It is a frustrating place to be in right now.

Yeah that sure was a good #19 Florida team.....

1). Harder schedule;
2). Played 1/2 season starting 3rd string True Freshman QB.

That schedule still was one of the top 5 hardest schedules after end of the season rankings. UT's final SOS rankings that season were:
NCAA - #2
Anderson & Hester - #5
Colley Matrix - #4
Jeff Sagarin - #10
Billingsley Report - #6
What if Ole Miss ran a schedule like that in '12 (along with their SEC schedule), then 1/2 way through both Wallace and Mackey were unavailable...how much faith would you have had on Brunetti to carry you through?
Even with your first 2 QBs healthy you only beat Arkansas by 3 (the same week that Josh Dobbs got his first start for UT because Worley and Peterman were hurt). You lose that game and you are 5-7 and sitting at home...just like UT did in '13.

That's because I used EOS rankings (you know, the ones that actually matter).

They were an inch away from .500 against Georgia.

TN almost lost to a Sunbelt team last year. A Sunbelt team that joined FBS in 2012.

UT should't have taken their foot off the gas when they were up 31-7. Lesson learned.

Butch Jones is not a good coach.

His record says otherwise.
You can't judge him yet at TN.
If he isn't winning 8 or 9 games at TN by 2016 then you can make that statement.
It is just a guess right now.

For the five seasons before Freeze was hired you only had one head coach.
For the five seasons before Butch was hired TN had 3 head coaches.
That is three times the roster turnover, three times the changes in coaching philosophies, three times the lack of player development, three times the amount of roster defections, ect, ect.
They aren't even CLOSE to comparable situations.
Sorry.

He is a good recruiter and a very poor in-game coach.
He will never win anything of significance at Tennessee.

The Carolina way right there. Damnit. We win when we're not supposed to and lose when we're supposed to win. I've said it a million times and I'll say it again..by far the most bipolar team I've ever seen. Still love 'em, though.

Just so you know in the five years before freeze we had 2 head coaches.....
