Great job by the freshman Cam Sims getting his body in the way.

I remember LSU fans saying he sucks and will never play for us.

and 7 got in the way of two guys chasing and made them slow down enough.

I don't know why we don't do more in the open field like this with his speed

Best run by an Alabama qb since...

Stabler?

Eta: nice whiff by Shepherd, what the hell was he trying?

I'd been waiting all season for him to have a run like this for a TD just knowing it would happen. Hopefully he has a couple more in him for MSU and AU

Great run, and sweet Jesus is A&M's tackling pathetic. They looked lost.

His ability to run just gives us more firepower on offense. Plus, I think he is way more comfortable when he is moving around.

Those cuts were sweet but A&M should be ashamed of their defensive fundamentals.

As Travis Reier said the other day, there wasn't a lot of "want to" by the A&M defenders there.

Still, it's a very impressive run and I think we should give Sims more opportunities to do that in every game.

Sims will have plenty of chances to show his style, as long as it's against a team without a defensive pulse. Can I get an amen?

Sims isn't a QB, he is an athlete. This guy has plenty of spirit and lots of love for Alabama but, he is not a real QB.

He is our generations Freddie Kitchens. Can I get a hallelujah?

Have you seen A*M play this season? Wake up, they aren't a standard to live up to.

Sims would look like Stabler against UAB also, it's not time to crown him. Be rational.

I miss A.J.

We all have seen Blake play and know exactly what he is capable of. My advice is to get behind him and support him. He is never going to be a great QB. But he can be a good enough QB to lead this team. That's all we need him to do.

Oh, okay, all we need is a QB good enough to lead the team. Thanks for the insight. That was deep.

Tell that to the 100+ guys ranked behind him in passer rating.

Does he do things that makes me sctatch my head sometimes? Does he miss reads sometimes? Does he make the wrong call? A bad pass? Yes. Yes. Yes.

But he also gives us the best chance to win. Either get behind him or get to packing. Is that deep enough for you? If not, then go find a hole somewhere. The Bama nation doesn't need you fella. Enjoy.

Avg Pass Defense ranking he has faced:

West Virginia: 44th
FAU: 108th
USM: 87th
Florida: 22nd
Ole Miss: 20th
Arkansas: 75th
Texas A&M: 70th
Average: 60.85

So on average he has faced the 61st ranked pass defense. Not bad.

Don't get me wrong, he isn't an NFL QB prospect. Not even a little. But his total numbers have been impressive considering he has played 3 top 44 pass defenses.

Love how Fowler dove-blocked at the CB, got back up and sprinted down field to try to finish the play.
