So let me get this straight -- we ran off our last strength coach for peddling steroids -- yet our new one has us bigger, stronger, faster, and more physical? That makes perfect sense.

quote:

As for State, I'm good friends with some guys that know some of their previous staff members.

Crybabies just how I remember them.

quote:

Word from them is that there was some under the table type stuff going on in the Strength and Conditioning program.

Of course there is. That's probably what I would say too if the average weight went up 12-15 lbs pretty quickly after my lazy arse got ran out of town.

quote:

There's a reason they say Mullen has been able to develop his 2 and 3 stars in to world beaters after 4-5 years in the program.

Yeah -- since all these guys are overnight world beaters and all. That's why we're playing so many true freshmen this year(1 for those counting at home) Sure it has nothing to do with consistent improvement over a long period of time.

quote:

Some of the year to year pictures and weight changes on those guys have been dramatic.

The most drastic change we've had in a year is 26 lbs I believe. We see significant change for kids out of high school through their redshirt freshman year. Who knew that kids you recruit out of 1A MS schools without weight rooms would put on weight their first 18 months in college? Shocking, I tell you.

quote:

This began coming to light and they had to "run off" the old S&C coach.

Yeah, I'm sure that had NOTHING to do with our utter failures of our conditioning in the second half of games last year -- and the ridiculous number of injures we had? Look at our second half scoring and get back to me.

Ironically, under the new guy, who basically doubled down on our cardio, our average team weight AGAIN went up a lb -- making us one of the 2-3 biggest teams in college football. Guess Court has higher quality steroids than Balis did.

That was the "Coach to be named later" in our trade many years ago.

We got the best of that trade.

I don't understand the Birmingham "burn" because it didn't make any sense.
Don't compare either school to Florida. You're embarrassing yourself.

I'll tell you what, let's sit back and watch how both programs do the next ten years. I still see zero accomplishments for both schools.

I'd say Ole Miss and that State will fall off. That 2013 recruiting class will turn out to be a huge launchpad for Ole Miss. If you follow recruiting, you'll see that current recruits view some of those guys as rockstars and want to play with them. And especially now that Freeze has shown he can actually coach and that you can win at OM and potentially win it all, there is no longer that detraction. That sort of thing just snowballs and recruits keep piling up.

Don't believe me? There's a reason that the coach all of a sudden left an SEC program and took the same job at UConn and this had nothing to do with Starkville being a crappy town.

So, OM = yes. State = No, this just happens to be a perfect storm with them because of the 4th and 5th year seniors plus a really good QB but they no longer have the "magic cocktail" to keep producing world beaters.

You dumb arse. You just completely made that shite up! I love when people that are fat or just plain pussies think it's impossible to make gains by simply hard work in the gym. If you get off your arse and work a muscle, it's gonna grow. That's what Strength and conditioning coaches do. You think they spend years in college just learning what substance to use? Jack arse. And the kids have arguably had more gains under the new S & C coach. In fact I'd say it's not even arguable. It's a fact. Just cuz they pounded your team's asses into the ground and left them beaten bloody and broken for the next teams to have a turn at, don't come here making up BS. Like people you know are gonna know shite like that? Riiiiiiiiiiight. That's the kinds of things staff members just casually discuss. You piece of shite.

You never answered my question. What exactly do we not have the funds and resources to accomplish what? Are you privy to the UMAA Foundation's balance sheet?

You don't have Alabama money. Well, what are yall waiting for? Get out the blank checks. Make me believe. Make it happen, big money. I want to see this.

Are you saying Florida's facilities are better? Please tell me that is what your saying. Because no recruit, player, or coach says it. No journalist that has seen every SEC campus says it. But you somehow know?

Why don't you tell us what the powers that be at Ole Miss have planned? What's the blue print for this juggernaut that is Ole Miss athletics? When does it start? Who's in charge?

You just got done losing to the same team for 10 fricking years. Ole Miss isn't a major player.

A 23-17 win doesn't translate to an arse beating. Being 10 years old before your school beats another school, however is.

State and Ole Miss fans ganging up to defend their chances at retaining success

This is an absolute once in a generation year for both schools, enjoy it while it lasts cause it ain't ever happening again. Ole Miss fan thinking they're ready to jump to the level of Auburn/LSU Freeze and Mullen are both gone within 2 years.

Just passing along what I've heard and why I think State's success isn't sustainable. Just saying, from what I've heard the players on State's team have been "enhanced." It's interesting how you knew exactly what I was referring to even though I never said anything about steroids. Must make it true.

You're an OM fan, what do you care?

Let's acknowledge it for what it was, gump. You guys beat our arse but OM handed it to you as well.

23-10 was the actual score and your only TD came on a 4th down conversion? You truly got owned in that game.

Let's say Ole Miss and MSU have decent facilities. It still isn't enough. You've got a sandwich that's 90% shite and 10% ham and you're trying to call it a ham sandwich. It's still shite.

You are the same dude in the Houston Nutt thread that said he was about as good as it gets for Arkansas. You're just trolling I see.
