Damn, I would much rather have him at Texas than LSU. We won't have to play against him and there's no way he convinces Mack to consider Texas. LSU is a different story though

I'm not saying anything like that at all, but it definitely looks like we're a player in his recruitment now.

Probably either them or Baylor, but he sounds like he is very interested in what LSU is offering. We'll have to see after he visits.

Let's put this into perspective.

Sione Teuhema, the linebacker who was supposedly only recruited by LSU to get his brother, has more sacks and tackles for loss than our two 4-star freshman linebackers COMBINED and only 4.5 TFL and 1.0 sacks fewer than the combined total of every linebacker on the A&M roster, including the one who we lost for the season in game 1.

Hamm said that he thinks Mack visits Texas, Baylor and LSU. I hope we get both Malik and Mack on campus. If Texas gets Mack and Malik on campus together, that would not be a good thing.

I'm starting to think the "Malik is recruiting Mack to visit other schools" tidbit is very real. I would not be surprised if Mack ends up where Malik ends up. I think it's fairly clear who the leader is out of the two. If you get Malik, I think you have a pretty decent shot at getting Mack.

Sione Teuheuma has been a huge surprise to me. The guy just knows how to get pressure on the QB.

But Teuhema is a DE, not a LB brah. With Rasco being a senior and Hunter likely going pro...the battle for the DE spots next year is going to be nasty between Teuhema, Clark, Bower and Neal.

Mack has never seemed like he wants anything to do with Texas. Pretty sure he's no showed for a bunch of their camps and been pretty vocal about a lack of desire to attend them. I don't see him going there or Baylor, who I've never really heard brought up in his recruitment. Maybe the new staff has changed how he feels though

LSU Auburn and Bama would be very real concerns. And I definitely think Jefferson is trying to recruit him elsewhere

We'll see. I think so much of it depends on how LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M finish the season. LSU hasn't signed a single linebacker in this class so I wouldn't be surprised if Jefferson chose them at all.

He actually mentioned that in a Rivals article. He likes the fact we haven't taken a LB in this class.

Considering the state of our linebackers, we basically have 3-4 linebackers on campus at most who should be playing at all, and one is out for the year.
