I know you didn't mention me, but I really feel like Taylor has done things to hurt the A&M program, and in my perspective operates somewhat wrecklessly, even if unintentional I'm sure. So much is made of "being the first" these days to scoop the info, whereas I prefer to have the more accurate info, even if delayed past initial reports. Some things people can predict/derive conclusions or end results on fairly easy, and with some kids being recruited the process of recruitment isn't hard to follow.
But for most, it's very difficult and not an easy read. Hamm needs to work more on building those close relationships and finding even more sources than he currently has. He's a well connected guy, but I really wish he would try and be more consistent with his coverage.
Disclaimer: I don't subscribe to Hamm's site, I read his reports throughout the webs, so I may not have the most informed ideals of the man. If so, I apologize.

I'm sure he looks at the defensive side of the ball and thinks Texas is better there. The same reason that every decent offensive recruit in Texas is going to Baylor or A&M (with much more going to A&M).

1. Texas having a great defense is a myth, gave up 45 to freaking Iowa State.

So Malik is taking an OV to LSU soon and according to him, Baylor and LSU are recruiting him the hardest.
