If the landmass schools do lose a game, who will look worse doing it? Will it be State vs UA maybe? Ole Miss vs AU? Those seem to be the two toughest left on their schedule besides each other.

Maybe they both win out, could you see an egg bowl blowout? Will both teams carry this momentum into 2015?

I have so many questions.

You know things are good when:

Will Ole Miss hang another banner if they tie for the West but don't make it to Atlanta?

Only time will tell, but as much as I think I would like to see both teams undefeated in the Egg Bowl I can't help but root against the Black Bears when I watch them play.

IRL both fan bases sidewalk/FB hero fans will melt hardcore. Here most of the regular guys will be disappointed but still satisfied with the progress.

The question of the future depends on February like always. So TBD

So a big recruiting cycle can make or break 15 for both squads?

We're playing with house money at this point. The fact it's October and we're looking at a 9 win minimum season just 3 years after Nutt drove us into the fricking Ural Mountains and blew the car up is still astonishing.

Without Nutt's 2011class + 2012
work you don't have Golson, Prewitt, RK, Vince Sanders, Morris, Gross, Sederius Bryant, etc.

Without Freeze, they're hanging with Snoop and Tig or at other schools.

Not make or break but sustain the type of success you see now. State redshirted most of their class outside of Graham and we redshirted a lot of kids but not nearly as many as State.

Another good to great class for both will consolidate the considerable jump in visibility.

No clue as to who loses worse, but it's pretty likely State will take it harder. They're desperate for validation, and we only have to look at the recent history of "The Grind" to see how quickly thing spiraled out of control once the team was brought back to reality.

OM will have a better sense of humor about it if it happens. They don't seem to have quite the aura of neediness that State has.

As you knew before you posted Nutt largely didn't have anything to do with recruiting much like Croom didn't for State. Melvin Smith held Mullen's first class together similar to Derrick Nix holding 11 and 12 together even after we fired his brother.

I wish we had thrown the bank at Nix.

The grinders will crash harder. They never expected or saw this coming. Ole miss fans truly believe they've won 25 national titles. In fact they can lose two games this season and will still claim one. Either way when they do lose it will not occur to them that they have.
