Yea that elk is def the bull of the herd. A few spikes got near his cows and he put an end to that shite real fast 
Weather here dropped to low 40s/high 30s after lunch today, if it dropped like that in down there then it should be a good weekend in the woods. Until the cold air cuts through to the stand but man I love when the weather gets good enough to bust out the coveralls to take in the woods

How long were you there? When I went all I saw was a bunch of does small bucks and a few turkey.

I was there 3 days. Yea we have always lucked out and see bear every time. I usually don't see many of the turkey but see deer each time. I only really see the bigger bucks in the fall. And the elk are all in the south end of the park because they migrated over from Cataloochee a few years ago, that's where they were repopulated at. There's certain fields down at the south end of the park that they always hang out at.

Father popped a nice 8 point this morning! We tracked him for about 30 minutes before we came across him. It was awesome, always great when you see your dad act like a little kid for a brief moment.
Gonna get back in the woods tomorrow. Weather looks great in the morning, cold and no wind.
