Good luck man. That's a helluva deer in Georgia.

That place is massive, I went in march hunting hogs with dogs and walked 14 miles(by catch dogs gps). Didn't even begin to scratch the surface of that place.

I've been there several times and see new property every single time. The camp house creeps me the frick out I always feel like some old slave ghost is gonna wake me up by ripping my sleeping bad off me and try to rape me with his ghost cock.

I got lost coon hunting it in the early 90's. Spent the night on the river and swore I'd sell every dog I owned if I could get out of that bastard.

Should be an awesome spot to coon hunt though with all the wet areas there.

Been able to go 3 times so far here in Tennessee. No luck so far. One of my cousins missed a good 8 point from 20 yards away though. Bummer

A ton of acorns are falling everywhere though so that's encouraging. Usually means it'll be a great rut for us.

Here's the bad boy I've got my eye on this year.

Not much moving this pat weekend. Saw a few in a soybean field Sattidy evening. Got to sit around the fire and tell lies, though, which is always a pleasure.

10 of us have 1000 acres in Jefferson County.

Coming back 8th of November to try again.

Haven't had the opportunity to get in the woods yet but that's about to change this weekend. My 10 year old daughter has been hunting with me the last few years and says she's ready to pull the trigger on one. So that's my #1 goal this year. I can't wait so see her face when one walks out on her and she's holding the rifle. The first time we had one walk out on us, later that evening she said "daddy when that deer walked out there my heart started beating really fast!" I told her that's what it's all about!

im this way with my 11 year old boy...he has sat with me on numerous occasions when we have seen deer...i call him the deer whisperer...he gets his kill this season hopefully...

my issue is though...and is the reason I havent been yet, is that my spot changed hands...new owenership...and they put the hammer down on all the hunting...so...its gonna be minimal hunts this year in alabama on family pasture, or the WMA closest to us I'm afraid...

Thought I'd share this with y'all. This boy's reaction to getting this buck with a bow is priceless. Makes me want to cry like a baby for him.
