In 2014 we saw No. 2 Auburn play No. 3 Mississippi State and Saturday will pit No. 3 Ole Miss vs. No. 24 LSU.
LSU is young and talented, Ole Miss returns damn near everybody worth a damn sans a few, State will have Dak back and Auburn has recruited well with an upgrade at QB coming next year.
So the question is: which matchup will pit higher ranked teams against each other? MSU @ AU is set for 9/26/15 and LSU @ OM for 11/21/15.

We lose DT, Cody Prewitt, Senquez and one or two linemen on defense.
We will have a hard time replicating our success this year.

He's one of the few that're leaving. Along with Prewitt, Golson, Sanders, Bird and Shackleford.

This is going to hurt more than anything else IMO.

On defense, yes. I still think the biggest drop off will likely be Bo to Buchanan.

Well yeah, I was talking about defense. I really want Kincade to do well but Ryan is just bigger, has a better arm and seems to be a "smarter" quarterback.

We don't lose any d lineman. Except Hooks if you wanna count him.

I'm going to say MSU vs AU because I think both teams finish this season with no more than 1 loss and will be highly ranked next year. The game is early in the season and MSU has USM, Northwestern ST, and LSU in Starkville prior to AU and AU has Louisville, a cupcake team, and LSU prior to State so both teams likely will be undefeated going into the game unless LSU drastically improves.
LSU @ OM is late in the year and both teams are more likely to have losses and be lower ranked by then.

If Harris can improve over the off-season and take starting job....LSU/OM

I am thinking along the same lines. Our defense should be around the same quality and our offense loses no one except for Bo and Sanders. We have an upgrade for Sanders in the Washington transfer, but it all hinges on our quarterback development.
I think LSU will be the highest ranked of the four at the end of the year but delta may be right on how much of a factor the timing of the games are.
