Ask yourself this - if LSU plays Florida and Kentucky earlier in the season THEN gets embarrassed by MSU at home and blown out by Auburn on the road does that change your perception of this game? We beat Florida and Kentucky omg we are so fcking good again LSU stacked Ole Miss fcked. The Florida program is a joke and Kentucky is who they have been for the last 15 years.

This is the same LSU team that can't stop the run, can't pass to save its life, and therefore can't convert third down and long whatsoever. Oh and this game is against the #1 D in the country. We line up in two tight end sets and although everyone knows we are going to run the ball, we run the ball anyway. And when that doesn't work we will just run it some more. How can any of these things possibly be a good thing for the Tigers? I'm an LSU fan fwiw but I don't have the disease where I can't see things objectively

Im not gonna say we actually have a shot to win cause it clear that Ole Miss is the better team this year but if Bo throws 3 picks like Mett did last year it will definitely make things really interesting

interesting enough for it to be a field goal game in which we typically thrive in

OM will stack the box and force LSU to throw and we all know they cannot.

I don't know if they'll do this to start. They might want to avoid the big play early, and then really stack the box in the second half when the pressure is on Jennings.

A voice of reason, in any event I always like an OM/LSU game. You never know what to expect. That is why we love the SEC. Funny thing though, on Sunday we all pull for the Saints.

LOL. Les Miles laughs at the thought of someone FORCING him to throw. OM will stack the box, LSU will run against 9 man fronts and average 1.2 ypc while going 3 and out every other series as Ole Miss runs away with the game.

They barely won in Gainesville against a dumpster fire Florida bunch.

SofG is on the right track here.

Ole Miss would go into Gainesville any weekend this season and hang a scoreboard on the Gators... If I was a betting man, and I still am occasionally , I'd put 1000s on the Rebs... 1000s... LSU just isn't gonna be able to move the football.. At all.

And where has that "Ole Miss" attitude gotten you the last 50 years?

Well, this is why the transitive property doesn't work.

Ole Miss would do what Missouri did to them. Florida would turn the ball over left and right, and Ole Miss would probably win the game by 30.

LSU isn't going to turn the ball over. They're going to run it, and make Ole Miss' offense beat them. And, quite frankly, Ole Miss' offense has been pretty underwhelming early in games.

Obviously, in the 2nd halves of games, Ole Miss has been a lot better offensively. Whether it's turnovers or wearing down teams through time of possession (TOP hasn't really been the case this year), they're beating teams badly in the 2nd half.

LSU will move the football. They'll run on Ole Miss. Alabama was able to somewhat, and we've got a similar offensive line. And like I said, I don't believe Ole Miss will stack the box too heavily, because that just isn't want they want to do. They want to play 5 DBs and rely on their defensive line and linebackers to stop the run on their own and make plays.

I think LSU gets ahead early. The one thing LSU's defense struggles with is stopping the run, but that's the one thing Ole Miss can't do. I think both teams will be relatively conservative early; LSU not wanting to turn the ball over and play from behind against a team that is better than them, and Ole Miss not wanting to ignite the crowd with any mistake of their own.

I could see a game in which LSU leads 10-3 or 10-6 at half, and then Ole Miss really creeps up to stop the run in the second half and makes the LSU quarterbacks make plays and beat them. If Jennings/Harris can do that, LSU might be able to squeak it out. If they can't, then Ole Miss will likely do what they've done to pretty much everyone else in the 2nd half of games this year.

In the end, you can't really count on Jennings making a ton of plays to win this game for LSU. It's a tough spot for the Tigers, but I expect them to compete well and be in this game until the end.

But I don't think it'll be enough. I'm expect Ole Miss to come out on top something like 16-13 or 20-13.
