#2 class in the country, 3 of the top 5 players in Texas - wow.

Obviously they still need to see the court, but this recruiting haul alone is incredibly impressive, and it might not be over yet. Who wants to do a little backtracking and say that maybe extending Kennedy was the right move?

While this is great, the only thing that matters is wins. I'll gladly backtrack when I see it on the court.

Extending Kennedy was the only possible move after not firing him with 2 years left on his contract.

None of this recruiting has been Kennedy. It's Stansbury...and I STILL think we find a way to shite the bed this coming season even with the added talent.

this is Stansbury, not BK, and he still has to win with these players. Jury is out, but it looks very promising that is for sure.

Ag's win 20 games THIS SEASON, without these guys even on campus. Bookmark it. Kennedy is a great coach, and was left with far less talent than Sumlin was left.

Hard to overcome negative momentum of an empty roster, and Parkinson's... Swallowed pride and hired big time assistant.

So the sentiment is that all these players are committing to Stansbury and just ignoring who our head coach is? Ok.

I could also pay a lot of money to kids to come play for a&m, and I'd still be a shitty coach.

If "No extension = no 2015 stud recruiting class" Then I am on board with it. I would much rather preferred to wait and still have a good class.

2016 on clearly has a chance to be special, but given the talent already at A&M, I think we have a good shot at making the tournament this next year.

We have to. You want to keep that 2015 class together? Then Kennedy has to win so the AD's hand isn't forced.

In the age of one and done, good recruiting classes are key.

I could be wrong, but I think this basketball class signs their LOIs in November. Once again, correct me if I'm wrong.

Can he teach a player to set a pick or the team how to consistently beat a full court press yet? I'll backtrack when I see either of those things happen.

No

The fact that he is recruiting well now doesn't change the fact that he should have been fired based on past results. Besides, this recruiting success is all thanks to Cyprien and Stansbury (both of are widely considered better basketball coaches than Kennedy as well). Moreover, nothing he has done thus far makes me believe he can actually coach and develop this talent.

It's going to be strange watching the sideline dynamic this year. Kennedy is the boss of two guys who know A LOT more about effective basketball coaching than he does, and one of them has an infinitely better resume as a HC.
