That the old team of pre senile Verne and Todd Blackledge was the best around.

When Todd got paired with Nessler in 09 doing basically the #2 SEC gsme weekly on ESPN they went to another level. I hope they ccontinue for many years to come.

Blackledge and Danielson are both alright in my book, no problems with either. Danielson's insight is second to none, IMO.

The problem is verne keeps getting older and more senile, so every year this team seems worse. If you put early 2000s verne with danielson it'd be just as good/better than verne/blackledge.

also frick blackledge for the 82/83 sugar bowl

I like the CBS game and Gary and verne. I think CBS gives you that big game feel and seems the camera angles and number of cameras are better than an NFL game.

Verne needs to hang it up.

I really like Danielson a lot. I think he's the best in the business.

I like Verne and Gary. Verne is way past his prime, but I have become use to his call of the games. I still like him just for the nostalgia factor. I think Danielson knows the game and is good at what he does.

Nessler and Blackledge are the best duo to me.

ESPN in 80s/90s, with Ron Franklin when he could keep his male chauvinism to himself, Mike Gottfried before his stroke, Adrian Karsten before premature death, and Dr Jerry Punch before going full Nascar..

My alltime fav SEC game crew...and they loved TigerStadium on Saturday nights!

Agreed. Jessie Palmer is the best young gun IMHO.

Totally agree. Franklin on saturday night on ESPN was AWESOME. I could give or take Gottfried. I also liked it when you had guys on the sidelines who knew some stuff. Nowadays if you look cute and have a vagina you are a sideline reporter.

Agree. CBS does a much better job of showcasing the atmosphere. Every ESPN game feels like the same thing...whether its a Tuesday night MAC game or Saturday night SEC matchup.

Old ESPN Prime time crew of Ron Franklin and Gottfried were great.
Mussberger is awful and Verne is almost at the same level of sucktivity.
