Random thoughts in no particular order...

Worley is making some bad decisions. He has been sacked and beaten up in every game. We are now on pace for close to 60 sacks this season.
When shite like that happens you try to do too much. It affects your decision making. I think JW is trying too hard to make something happen.

O line is shitwrecked. They are not strong enough or fast enough to compete in this league yet. There is no one else. What kind of plays can you call when you are getting beat on every play. I do think they can do better. They have a great asset over there in Coach Fulmer. One of the best O line coaches ever. Say what you want about him as a head coach but the man could coach up linemen.

Defense is playing great ball but gets worn down. There just isn't enough depth yet. Help is on the way here though. Bates, Maybin, TK, Sutton, Coleman, Barnett and a host of talent is already here and will be returning. D line is one of the few places that a true Fr can come in and make an immediate impact. Imagine if we get just 10-15 snaps per game from some of our incoming D linemen next year. That depth is needed and adds an entirely new dimension.
I am really excited about our defense next year.

At the beginning of the season we all thought 6/6 was the goal. We are halfway there with 4 winnable games left.

We should have beat Fla, that shite hurts, no way around that. I take great joy in the fact that they are on the decline and a dumpster full of gasoline waiting on a spark as we speak.

We have been consistent in every game thus far. Our biggest blowout was this week, other than that we have been in every game until very late.

Last year with a MUCH better O and D line we were badly blown out by AU, Oregon, Bama and Mizzou. None of that has happened this year.

As for the rest of the year. Just get through bama week healthy. bama hasn't played well on the road all season. They looked like an nfl team last week at home though. If that team shows up we're in trouble. I dont think it'll be that bad though. Their D isn't as good as Ole Miss.
The next 4 games are winnable.

USC gave up over 200 yards of rushing last week. To Furman. They don't pass rush well at all either. We can compete with them.

Mizzou is so jeckyl and hyde it isn't funny but they are vulnerable. I watched them against Ga and they got beaten soundly. Our D is every bit as good as Ga and we'll force MM into some mistakes.

Ky got pushed around by LSU. They are improved but they do not have as many playmakers as other teams we have faced.

Vandy

Its painful, its slower than we'd like but its better than last year. Next year is shaping up to be better. I know we all want a miraculous turn around but that isn't going to happen in this league the way its stacked right now.
It will happen and when it does it'll be fast. It'll be glorious. It'll be here for a long time.

I'll read this tomorrow because I'm honestly too drunk but I think we finish 6-6 and make a bowl game. We'll beat Vandy, Kentucky and one of Missouri or SCe imo.

Was the oline this bad when you had the 4 freshmen starting a few years ago?

To be fair, we haven't played any of those teams yet this year

Everyone would/will be a blow out with the exception of hopefully Mizzou

Instead of AU we played Ole Miss and kept it much closer than the AU game last year.

Instead of Oregon we played Oklahoma on the road and kept that close till late. A much more competitive game than Oregon.

bama and Mizzou are yet to be played.

Well just match up wise I believe Oregon would've beaten us a lot worse than OU

And I also believe that Auburn last year was a much worse match up for us than OM was this year.

I'm not trying to say we have not improved of course we have. I just think it's a little shortsighted to say we haven't gotten our asses kicked by bama or mizzou when we haven't even played either of them yet and we all know what's gonna happen on Saturday

Not even close. Stone, Fulton and James you knew were going to be good.

With this o-line Robertson is the only one who even has a chance to be an above average player at the position he is playing imo.

They gave up 43 sacks or so. And yes they were bad but I didn't quite remember them as being this bad until Ja'Waun James reminded us that yes they were that bad. My faulty memory on that caused me to think this year wouldn't be quite AS bad as we've seen.

That said, that oline had more talent as a group and more potential. Those guys were highly rated prospects whereas the same isn't the case with the guys on this line. And this oline is one pace to give up more sacks if they don't improve in the final games.

What's more we may have a switch up AGAIN do to injuries sustained against OM which will undoubtedly effect communication/gelling of the line. Ironically, the 6th game is about when olines are supposed to start gelling and with the injuries it will likely set them back.

I really think Mosley will end up being a great OG. Sure as hell will not need him at DT... we about to be stacked.

Blair will help out at tackle next year as well. OL will progress a lot between this year and next.

Makes me fall back in love with this team. Honestly, we can't ask for more than this. Everything in the world is against them - even many fans but then they go and do this (I truly hope it pays off for them SOON):

Robert Gillespie: “We got back to the football complex at 3:07 Sunday morning. At 8:30am, I (Gillespie) was told the entire O line and running backs independently came in together to watch film. These guys are trying, these guys really want to learn, compete and win”.

I'm really just trying to get some discussion going other than the " I'm drunk and hate this team" or the" My soul is crushed, woe is me".

There are a lot of negatives to focus on but there are less of them than last year. There are some positives to focus on and certainly more than we had last year.

Sooner or later its going to break in our favor. In a big way.

If OL can just be average next year, we will be a very good football team.

6 wins and a bowl appearance would make me very happy this year.

James Cregg is a way better Oline coach than Mahoney.
