I know there are a few other people on the board who enjoy wordplay -- I'll get it started.

Only one rule: Don't multi-post or have super long posts (please).

A word I just learned: Emendation.

"The act of altering for the better, or correcting what is erroneous or faulty; correction; improvement."

"The book might be improved by judicious emendations."

Sure, you live in Mexico so you're ability to adapt and deal with shitty situations will be invaluable.

Dammit, wasted 6k.

I'll put this here, not a word I use, but a vocabulary word for my 2nd grader. Actuate. I've never used this in my life.

If you only had any idea how stacked the odds are against me down here.

Can't believe I'm doing so well.

Oh and by the way: Your Tarot reading was unbelievably accurate.

You got a gift, don't waste it.

One of my favorite words is indubitable. I rarely use it because it's such a, well, English word.

I always like when I hear someone use the word " Ironical"

As for myself, I like to use the word "theoretically" quite a bit, as a warning, that shite probably aint going to go like I expect.

Do I get to get my nerd on in this thread?

I tend to use "ineluctable" whenever I can in everyday convos

Do you say it: In - el - uck - table?

Also, I like it.

One that I use often is: internecine.

I got to use "vertiginous" the other day and nearly high-fived myself.

Yeah, it sounds a little less trite than "inevitable" or "inescapable."

To me, anyways

I like to use verbiage from time to time but when i use it people tend to try and correct me and say don't you mean verbage (not a word). I tell them no verbiage pretty much means word garbage which is what verbage is. I don't have many friends.

We wouldn't be here discussing words if we did.
