Actually watched a few minutes of Finebaum for the first time.

At least the part I saw didn't seem as bad as I've always heard it was.
Sure, it was a little public access-y but Finebaum didn't seem to be going out of his way to bash other teams.
He did make a hell of a lot of weird faces though. Like he was trying to establish that he was above callers like Phyllis.
I'd say overall I give it a meh.

At least Phyllis seems sincere. Deranged maybe, but still sincere
. A lot of the other 'regulars' are painful to listen to. Jim from Tuscaloosa and Daryl from GA are perfect examples.

Sadly it is all about ratings, very little info comes out of this, and even worse than Paul is his sidekick. Think Johnny and Ed on the tonight show although I would give the latter two more credibility as far as their info goes.
Paul's show is more like Springer for the football fans.

Yeah, he gave Phyllis a lot of shite today for what I thought was a pretty good (and rational) call.
His interviews are actually pretty good.
For this show to be successful on the SEC Network, they need to:
1) Shorten it to 2 hours.
2) Screen the callers better and don't allow the old radio show, over-the-top callers in.
3) Less call-ins and more time interviewing SEC coaches, ADs and coordinators.

No one has ever doubted his love for Nicky, but he actually confirmed it last week when he said that bama winning those 3 NC's "were the greatest 3 days of my life". Word for word. He's made several commments that the suits are constantly on his butt to keep the nuts off the air by blocking their calls but then when Daryl called the other day & went on his usual rant, Finebaum leaned back in his chair, on camera, and covered his face with a notebook. Pure class.

Paul's sidekick has one of the most smug, punchable faces I've ever seen.

Finebaum was better back in the day before it went national. Shane from Center Point was tGOAT caller. RIP Shane.
