It's name was Leslie. [sp?] It ran for mayor of Austin several times.

Maybe I'm primitive. I am primate. But I find this sight therapeutic.
I'm not trolling or cursing (yet) and I'm not calling anyone names. I wouldn't call a t-sip a t-sip from my keyboard. I don't drink that much. Any more.
But getting on here yesterday was the first I've thought about talking college football since the first half of the Ole Miss game. Getting on here and- well- ranting has done me much good.
Again, I'm a pretty simple ol dude.

Glad to have ya, dS37
I think trolling has its place. I don't engage in it often myself, and when I do, I usually make it pretty plain that it's lighthearted. Of course, I'm also simply not very good at it (not sure if that's a good or a bad thing ), so the less I try to do it, the better.
I think it's therapeutic for some. I mean, let's face it, at the end of the day, MOST fanbases are pretty cordial to each other face to face. This isn't Europe where they'll send folks to the hospital over a soccer match, or South America where they'll execute a ref. Even in the heated rivalry games, there's typically nothing more than a few choice words thrown at each other during the heat of the game.
Trolling online lets some folks vent/draw others offsides/taunt, etc, in a basically harmless way. Yeah it can get annoying sometimes (especially when there's an actual conversation going on), but if you're actually getting hot under the collar irl, you're just one click away from logging out and forgetting the whole thing

It gladdened my heart that you lived in the midst of the rejoicing that you couldn't take part in this past summer Took the edge off my not being able to be there

Being a Rockets fan in SA when they won the title this year was worse than living through the Fran years.

I was just disappointed SA and HOU didn't get to meet up in the second round. Would have been an intense series.

There is a distinction between anger and annoyance. Last week, I was annoyed (slightly). I was never angry.
You have to understand, I fight/argue for a living. People pay me handsomely for it. No one seems to understand (wife included) that it does not make me angry. I have no problem whatsoever telling a judge (politely) that my opponent has just made the dumbest argument in the history of jurisprudence, anf then buying a beer for said opponent in the airport.
I can count on two hands the number of times that I have been truly "angry" in the last 25 years.

Not online The distinctions don't manifest themselves as well in written form, IMO.

That is just something people say to deflect from the fact that they are easily angered
