If records hold, it will be the Egg Bowl.

I believe CBS passed on the Egg Bowl for someone else in the preseason.

CBS has already selected Nov. 8 for their doubleheader day, A&M and Auburn will likely be 2:30 with LSU/Bama starting at 7.

Agree, horrible day of football. UF @ Vandy, UGA @ UK, Bama @ LSU, aTm @ AU, Presbyterian @ Ole Miss, and UT Martin @ MSU.

Yeah I feel like the LSU and Bama game has kind of ran it's course as the primetime game. They had a run as the 2 dominant programs in the west but that is not the case anymore. There are several other games I would rather see get that spot.

Once Auburn or LSU beats Ole Miss and Bama beats MSU we all will be spared that embarrassment.

A&M is a rotting corpse now though, to where really all Auburn is going to be doing is raping a dead body.

Neither I just feel like there are other games that are more appealing. There was a time when Florida and Tennessee was the number 1 game in the SEC every year and always got that big game slot. That is not the case anymore nor is Alabama and LSU the number 1 game in the SEC anymore.

Dumbass. The 2011 and 2012 Bama LSU games were the highest rated CBS college football games ever. They are going to ride that horse until it breaks down, which isn't happening any time soon.

That probably had something to do with them both being good. A 1 vs 2 game tends to draw pretty good numbers. Not a 4 vs an unranked team. I would be willing to bet that last years Iron Bowl's ratings were very comparable if not better also.

OK, answer me this. It's the preseason, you have to pick one matchup that will likely feature two highly ranked teams, and you want to avoid picking Thanksgiving weekend. Who are you going to pick?

They have to avoid Thanksgiving because they already have the Black Friday game, that would give CBS 3 SEC games in the same weekend.
