If that happens and we finish 10-2, I'll be happy with the team's progression. Freeze isn't trying to build a flash in the pan and I feel he's already way ahead of schedule.
That being said, I think you're wrong. State or Auburn on the road would have me more worried.

outside of 1 good year of recruiting, what leads you to believe this?
We are seeing OM reap the benefits of that one class right now, but recruiting seems to have fell off for y'all.

Last year's class was better top to bottom than 2013. This year's class will be at that same level. 2016's class will be Freeze's best yet. Get ready. This is the new reality.

Fair enough. I don't expect people to buy into us this soon, but I think we are the real deal this year. As long as we can keep the turnover game in our favor, I see us having a chance to beat anyone in the country. Will we? Who knows, but there have been much, much worse teams win the SEC. As for Bama, I think we matched up well against them. I mean, no disrespect to them, but to say it was a fluke win is bullshite. They had one TD drive against us and that came on a 4th down play on the 1 yard line after a three down stand from our defense. If we stopped them there and the ref doesn't gift them those 7 points, it's 23-3. Obviously, our score may have been different, but the fact is...our defense is elite.

So OM can be added to the list of west teams that beat up on each other.

It's really the main reason I think we win the Egg Bowl. It's been eternity since somewhat equal teams won the egg bowl on the road...outside of the mid-90's, when it was reversed.

Look, your team is good. No getting around it. Ours is coming out of the doldrums from the beginning of the season and beginning to find its way. We are playing our rivals (I am 51, I know we are rivals) who are ranked #3 in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night. It is going to be electric. If OM knocks us off our feet in the first quarter like MSU did then it is going to be ugly. If we can withstand the first flurry of punches and keep it within 7 points at the half it is going to be interesting.

Oh yeah. I'm nervous as can be. For the most part, when it comes time for OM/LSU, you can throw every stat, every player accolade, every recruiting class, etc out the window.
