MSU wins out.
OM wins out except for egg bowl.
Georgia wins out and wins the East.

Georgia beats MSU in SECCG.

All teams now have 1 loss and are all likely in the top 5. Assume ND loses a game somewhere along the way too.

Does the SEC get 3 in?

nah, UGA and OM would likely go in that scenario, or just UGA.

Depending on how other teams do then either UGA and OM or just UGA would get in.

Multiple scenarios to end up with 3, 1 loss SEC teams.

Scenario 1: MSU loses to Bama, beats Ole Miss, and we end up with a 3 way tie with MSU, OM, & UA. Assuming UGA only has 1 loss that would leave 3 teams with 1 loss whoever wins the SECCG.

Scenario 2: Auburn beats UA,UGA, & Ole Miss. OM beats MSU in the egg bowl and one of them wins the SECCG.

Scenario 3: Ole Miss, UGA and UA win out and UGA beats Ole Miss in the SECCG

Scenario 4: OM & MSU go into the egg bowl undfeated, UGA wins out and wins SECCG

ONLY 1 goes, regardless.

Not what I want, just what I think.

They'll go around the moon to keep it to One.

It'll be hard to get two in and impossible to get 3. One loss champs from B12 (TCU, Baylor and K-St have a slight chance at it, but unlikely) B1G (especially if it's Mich St and they lay an arse whooping on OSU in a few weeks) Pac12 (there probably won't be one) one loss ACC Champ FSU and/or 11-1 ND would all get in over a second SEC team. I don't think it should work this way, and I think at the end of the season the SEC will have two of the best four teams, but that's probably how it's going to work.

If they took 2 teams MSU would get in over OM due to us winning head to head, going undefeated regular season, and winning the West. They'd take the 2 teams who made the SECCG

Assuming no upsets and everything runs course

SEC. CHAMP
FSU
ND
Oregon or MSU/OSU winner

I think ND built up a bunch of cache last night they win out and they are in.

What happens if we have 2 or 3 one loss SEC teams at the end and everyone else has two?

Unlikely scenario but plausible..all these other conference champs have 2 L's. What then? (Fsu won't but the others could)

Of course not. We might not even get 1 in that scenario.

No, just 1

With so many 1 loss teams and so few undefeated ones the other Big 5's have dealt themselves back in the game.

I would agree that y'all deserve to be in it if that was the case but pollsters are weird and seem to forget about previous games (look at Michigan State and Oregon in the rankings right now). Hopefully the new playoff committee doesn't forget about previous games.

I think they will do all they can to keep more than one SEC team out. If possible they will keep all of them out. In which case we should blow up their little party and just refuse to participate.

I posted earlier in another thread that there is 0% chance of getting three SEC teams in.

In fact, if two teams don't all of a sudden take off and start blowing everyone else out (similar to what LSU and Bama did in 2011), the SEC is liable to cannibalize itself. Remember when Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech were all one loss? None of those three were able to differentiate them selves from the rest of the conference, thus only one of those, the conference champion, would make the 4 team playoff had it applied.

I can really see only the SEC getting one at this moment. The rest of the country's teams would have to start losing.

i am just concerned about them taking a 2 loss conference champ over a one loss SEC team that does not go to or win at Atlanta.

Being a Bama fan, what do they do if Ole Miss runs the table and loses to a two loss UGA team in Atlanta, and Bama runs the table to sit there at 11-1?
