Someone mentioned it in a thread on the rant, but A&M has defenders that are literally jogging at times. Players are running through them for touchdowns and Aggies are half-assing it at considerably less than full speed. Embarrassing for our Ag friends, I'm sure.

I agree with those who say MO can win every game, but to win them all is a tall chore given our offense.

Well, I stand corrected. I just have a hard time believing Mizzou could be favored at A&M, but there it is.

Latest updates at this site has us winning @ A&M, losing @ Tenn, and winning vs Arky.

That looks about right. I think people are underestimating just how much of a dumpster fire aTm is. One of their players tweeted that half their roster wants to transfer.

I doubt we see much effort out of them.

I'm praying yall have a win before our game. If yall come into that game needing an SEC win to keep from going 0fer, I could see them fighting harder. It's not going to be an easy game for us at all.

Arkansas is not going to be easy no matter what. Hell, they almost knocked off Mississippi State last weekend.

On Tennessee... I've never seen so much overreation to one win since A&M beat Carolina in Week One. Yes, this Dobbs kid looks to be a load but Carolina had players jogging through plays too. It'll be interesting to see how he performs under the kind of pressure our DLine brings.

That said, we haven't faced a big running quarterback since Marshall. And if I'm Steckel, I put a spy on him.

Who does everyone think is up to the job if they go that route?

Zone coverage is effective against running QBs. That's what we play the vast majority of the time.

Having a 250lb bull in his face mask before he completes his drop also works pretty well.

Well, the A&M win was a pleasant surprise (but because of all of the penalties it was too close for comfort).

Tenn is going to be another tough coin flip. Now that Mizzou is ranked again I'm getting nervous. Dobbs seems to be the real deal.

Hogs are playing much better now and turned that corner from good attempts to good wins. I'm surprised many Mizzou fans are predicting this one as a win. A power run team (ala Georgia) is not a good matchup for us. Plus, if Mizzou had Arky's schedule, we would be struggling for bowl eligibility too. Don't let their record fool you. (Hogs only lost to Alabama by 1 point. We were beat by Indiana, which has shattered my confidence).

I love how the media makes a big deal out of UT because they managed 2 whole wins to the division weaklings and all of a sudden they and Dobbs are great. Mizzou has already seen Dobbs and their front 4 is much better than last years. And if the Penton suspension ends, we have a hell of a secondary.

Also Mizzou didn't have a problem with UGA's "power rushing" the defense had a problem with constantly being on the field and wore down. So it's nice to see MM pulling it together.

And are we still bringing up Indiana? Is it that hard to see the team is light years from that team? Last year everyone waited for Mizzou to lose so USC could go to the SECCG, this year, it's the same shite, different team waiting for us to lose.

Best pass rush in the SEC will be saying hello to mr Dobbs in a few days..

Big game from the D required, shouldn't be that hard though.

I wish I shared this iron-clad optimism. A few games ago, several on this thread wanted death and dismemberment to the coaching staff. How quickly it has been replaced with hubris regarding teams who apparently are still having trouble walking and defecating properly after playing the Mighty Mizzou.

I'm more of the cautiously optimistic type...letting the team on the field do the talking.

Cheers to another road win if we are so fortunate. (Vegas has us as a 3.5 pt underdog, but don't let that fact get in the way of a collective braggadocio)

Dobbs is a different player. Confident, accurate as a passer, and difficult to bring down as a runner.

I certainly hope no one is actually underestimating them. Mizzou's got it's hands full, no doubt, and I'm not sure a straight four-man, balls out pass rush (with coverage laid off behind it) is going to cut it because of Dobbs' ability to break contain and make long gains with his legs.

They've also got a huge / tall running back in the style of Eddie George or Robert Smith. I haven't seen enough to nail his running style down, but I lean more toward the speed of Smith than the brawn of George. He looks explosive. And their receiving corps is Mizzouesque - big, tall, fast.

It's going to be a stout test and a hell of a game.

TN will be a good matchup, think it will be close. Arky scares me more, they have lost a lot of close ones against better competition this season. Hopefully we find a way to win both and keep the best east team out of Atlanta again.

I'm so happy to watch Mizzou beat Tennessee. (the 12 penalties were a bit harsh, but a win is a win).

Now we have to play a red-hot Arkansas. I wouldn't be surprised if we are the underdog again...they have been playing truly inspired ball.
