if you think Rafe going from SW Missouri football is ready for the SEC

if we go 3 years without winning an SEC game, i assure you he won't be here. and i'm starting to think BA is incapable of wining in the SEc
what scares me, like look at florida. the coach keeps trotting out Driskel and everyone says wellt he coach knows best, you put Harris in the game, he scores 2 TD's. he won the Tennessee game as well for them.
I thik some coaches put way too much stock on what a player does in practice.

Common sense.

Rafe would probably be worse. He's 18 years old. Throwing him in there now as a desperation move would benefit nobody.
better believe nutt would of thrown him out there
guess someone forgot to tell bert he's supposed to be nutt 2.0

Yeah there is absolutely no way Rafe is ready for the SEC. The quality of play he faced around here was terrible.

At some point he has got to get experience.
Let him split time with Austin.
At least then we have 3 Qbs with SEC game experience next year to choose from.

Nutt was a lot more successful at Arkansas than Bielema.

What scares me about Storey is his competition level but the 7A West QB's have sucked for Hogs too.
We need a QB from TX, LA, FL somewhere that they play against other top competition.

so harris has already burned his redshirt correct?
rafe hasn't, pretty big difference there.
muschamp is stupid for not playing the better QB who's already burned his redshirt. looks to me like bert is smartly building for the future knowing the administration has his back, whereas muschamp doesn't know what he's doing while trying to save his job

kenny hill was 4* from texas
jordan jefferson/brandon harris were 4* QB's from louisiana

actually arkansas has a surprisingly strong track record with kids from small Arkansas schools. they hardly ever bust.
I don't even want Rafe, I want the RS on him. But at least play Austin.

I've addressed the transfer QB situation before.
Bielema actually did go out and get the highest rated QB in the 2010 class that was either a JUCO or a graduate transfer.
His name is AJ Derby.
The only other options we're Rob Bolden who has gone from Penn St to LSU to now E. Michigan.
Or the 4th stringer at Cal who seems content to get school paid for and chill in Berkley than play.
Coker was the only viable graduate transfer last year and he thought he was being handed the keys to a Bugatti but he woke up in a used VW.
Any other possibly talented QB had already transferred and there was zero talent in JUCO.

well that was 2 years ago. it's hit and miss. Cam was a JUCO. Mett was a juco. K state 's QB is a Juco and is goin to get a legit NFL shot. we don't even need an NFL QB. We need a QB that will simply go through his reads and stand in the pocket.

You are right, no doubt. I'm just saying that Bert had a huge QB problem that he is not going to be able to fix in the next 2 years.

I honestly think you could Fix BA. All you would have to do is go through spring and fall practice and take the green jerseys off. let him get hit. blitz the frick out of him. let him get used to it.

Who was the coach in the offseason saying that he was not sure how far we could go with our QB?
Posted on 10/18/14 at 10:41 pm to vengeanceofrain
Cam and Mett were 2 guys that Bielema won't touch because of their character issues.
Auburn and LSU are desperate programs with character issues at the core of their programs.
Trent Hosick is a guy I wish we'd take a shot at. He's not a good QB however.

This is his 3rd year in the college ranks....he is what he is at this point. And at best he is SEC back-up caliber.
