Saw this gem of a quote from Tre Williams

quote:

"If I don't play that much this year it's definitely going to get me ready for next year," Williams said. "If Cass and Kris leaves, I'm going to step up to the plate. There's no choice - I have to just step back and try to observe everything.

I could see Cass grading out high but for some reason I see Frost declaring before I do Cass. McKinzy seems like a 4 year guy to me.

I see both of them benefiting draft position wise with an extra year

Someone posted something about an NFL scout saying he likes Frost a lot. But

From everything I've gathered through RotoWorld, per various scouts, Kris Frost is more highly thought of right now when it comes to the NFL. That could always change, but I can't see either leaving right now.

Matt Miller has a late first round grade on Frost right now, and I believe he has him as the #1 ILB on his board. It seems like an aggressive ranking, but Frost has played a lot better this year and he's definitely got plus athletic ability.

Interesting thing with Frost is when he graduates. He was one of the few who truly valued academics and he is a pro flight major which is unique/cool

I saw Matt Millers video and I lost what little respect I had for Bleacher Report.

He said Frost had great instincts.

Also, you'd think with the #1 rated ILB we would have elite LB play

The lb play has probably been the best part of the defense

My point wasn't that our LBs haven't been playing well, I just don't view their play as game changing and dominant. They definitely have room for improvement and the MSU game showed that.

Kris is big and rangy and fits into today's NFL perfectly. He can blitz and he's good in coverage

I'm not an NFL scout, but neither of these LB's dominate the field when I'm watching.

They are both the best we have, but neither will make all conference.

Spikes, Dansby: Dominant LB's

Holland kept one of these guys on the bench a good bit last year.
Do you think Holland would have split time with Dansby or Spikes?

You don't have to dominate the field to be an NFL player. You just have to have a certain skillset that a certain team likes.

The NFL is about situational football. If your skillset matches the situation, you have a job.

Another factor to consider: if ever a pro league was in desperate need of some public image enhancement, it's the NFL.

I believe you are going to see a major push to sign more smart, high character guys with potential than 1st team All-Americans with, um, 'issues'.

In other words, more guys like Frost as opposed to, for example, Rolando McClain.
