It's correct to say, "...from my brother and me.".
It's incorrect to say, "...from my brother and I.".
You wouldn't say, "...that was only a few yards away from I.", would you?

"Me" is actually correct in this context. A Serpent told me.

"I" is correctly used when saying, "My brother and I saw a sea serpent.".
It is incorrect to say, "My brother and me saw a sea serpent.".
You wouldn't say, "Me saw a sea serpent.", would you?
After making that obvious grammatical error, I guess HellRaisingDawg will be harder to find than a sea serpent.
Maybe he dropped out of high school.

You can blame Summer of George. After seeing his user name and avatar, phrases from Seinfeld keep popping into my mind.
However, I've edited my previous post to say the correct phrase which is "They are real and they're spectacular!".
