Pass protection is a huge problem. Allen is missing a lot of these wise open receivers in his progressions because he's running around to avoid sacks.

Correct.

Look at the TD to Henry, Allen just flung it open with 2 UGA dudes in his face, luckily Henry was uncovered.

Still not sure how Allen even got rid of that ball.

No...why has passs protection been bad?

Cause Georgia blitzed the shite out of us and we we don't have a QB that can accurately get the ball out under pressure and an OC that can't figure out plays that can counter the blitze.

You can't drop 5 steps and pat the ball when the other team is rushing 5 and 6 guys!

I know that our O line is young a-hole. I also know that wr always have an excuse. When do the excuses end???

Georgia was supposed to lose this game. They over came their excuse.

For the same reason we learned about in the Spring, they're young and have been taught run blocking 80% of the time.

Kirkland has graded out at about a D- for pass protection today.

Actually did he bench Kirkland? I don't see him out there this drive.

ETA Yep, he sure did.

They were a 3 point favorite, and without Alex Collins derping it off his facemask and the fumble return for a td it would be a 5 point game (that's just subtracting points, obviously we don't know what happens if those things change)

No....the difference between 1st half and 2nd half

BA relaxed and is now making throws.

Its all about pressure. BA can not handle it.

So you think the problem is the O-line and not the OC and QB...and you think I'm clueless?

The problem is the OL yes, OC no comment, and QB is fine.

I do, you are blaming the QB for being pressured and above you mentioned not being able to handle blitzing which again, is the offensive lines job to pick up the blitz, not the QB. Either you don't watch much football (especially pro) or you're drunk/mad at Allen for no real reason.

The coaches themselves said all Spring that we're not where we need to be in pass protection, and after Bama and now UGA have abused them back to back weeks, they were right in their assessments.

Pressure as in the game is on the line or stress. When the the game is tight he freaks out. Takes big sacks....fumbles the ball....or throws the interception....misses wide open receivers....late getting the ball out.

the offensive lines job to pick up the blitz

The Qb can help the line out by reading the blitz and getting the ball out quickly and accurately to the hot route instead of throwing a wounded duck off his back foot into coverage.

and good QB play and play calling can help an O-line out.

The O-line is not getting that help so it compounds the problem even more!

But then the moron fans say "OMG why did we throw a 5 yard pass on 3rd and 9?? WTF is Allen doing??!!!".

Your quick release get it out quick theory is useless in any long down situation, so again, it's on the OL to pass protect and pick up blitzes.

You really should stop arguing against the coaches. I think they know better than anyone else.

Check my financials in the rock thread.

I link the WMS commission budget. The commission employee's make over $350K to host less than 20 games a year total.

No university other than the U. of A has played there since 2012 and none of them plan to ever do so again.

Thats not just 3rd and long....thats all downs.

When the game is tied he is completing only 40% of his passes.

In the 4th Quarter he is completing 34% of his passes.

3rd down a less than 4 he is 50% completion %

3rd down and less than 7 yards = 36 % completion %

He is weak when the game is on the line

Disagree, Allen is good enough for what we need. Just needs pass protection and some decent play calls.

People that blame everything on Allen are pathetic fans and probably the same people that egged his truck then burnt it to a crisp.

Allen isn't the problem, but we have some really dumb fans.

Please explain how Allen is good enough.

No one is blaming EVERYTHING on Allen. Allen isn't a good QB. If you think he is, then YOU are the dumb fan
