If he didn't....while it wouldn't effect his NFL stock, it would forever tarnish his reputation with UGA and the idolization he has had here.

RiverDawg makes no sense.
If UGA's actions protect Gurley's health and insure that he gets a big contract that can't be considered "throwing him under the bus".
If we assume that UGA threw Gurley under the bus then that bus carried the whole Bulldog team and all the team's fans. When the bus plowed into Gurley the bus disintegrated on impact and Gurley walked away unscathed.
If UGA's actions protect Gurley's health and insure that he gets a big contract that can't be considered "throwing him under the bus".
