I know we're in the middle of the season, but I have to ask a question about Wright Thompson. Please explain the dislike of him. I've watched his 30 for 30 special and his recent promos for GameDay. He's seems quite talented and is now in the spotlight in light of the success of OM and MSU.

Think of a wife. She means well but constantly tells you what you did that was wrong in the past. At some point you want her to just drop it and move on, but she keeps on bringing up that old crap and even though it's not who you are anymore you cannot get past it.

I just don't like him because he's an arrogant dude that acts like he speaks for the entire state and especially Ole Miss. When he talks I just cringe and get infuriated whether it's deserved or not.
Others don't like him bc he didn't really speak to any advancements we've made as far as race relations in Ghosts of Ole Miss and instead just harped on everything everyone already knows about.

He's a one-trick pony. He's also as un-Mississippi as they come. Just try to talk to him when you see him on the Square and you'll see why we feel this way.

I had a problem with his 30 for 30. I've run into several people whose only image of Ole Miss, outside of our athletic teams and the Grove, is the 30 for 30. All they think now when they see or hear Ole Miss is our past.
We have to acknowledged the past, move on, and highlight the great things we are doing as a university, not keep dredging up our history time and time again.

Like I said, it's like a marriage where old fights keep getting surfaced. At some point, to succeed you have to move past it. We need to boot him out. He is a cancer.

I don't really get the severe dislike either. He does docuhey things and looks/dresses like a douche, but there's douches everywhere.
He's well respected as a writer nationally. He's an Ole Miss fan. I won't claim him as some ambassador for the University or anything, but he doesn't seems like a decent guy

Not his biggest fan but if I was trying to get a Journalism (which I would never desire) and I had to pick between OM and Mizzou, I'd have to pick Mizzou... Vastly superior program
