I Feel Like We Aren't Talking Enough About Mississippi State

I could care less about Saban's tantrum or Jameis Winston signing autographs.
Mississippi State is #1 for the first time in history. That is pretty amazing. From unranked to start the season to #1 in 6 games is pretty incredible.
Has that ever been done before? What are people in Starkville saying? I ran into a State grad/fan at lunch today here in Alabama and he was pretty subdued. He was at the game on Saturday and just said he couldn't believe it. I texted another friend of mine who is a State grad and he just said he never thought he would see this.

They have a great team.

Oh, I've been here. But, this is pretty epic. It's Tuesday and things have died down.
100+ years with only one SEC title and a lot of time being a doormat and they are now #1 in the country. It might not last.
I am all for making a huge deal out of it while it lasts.

They're legit good, however odds are still they drop a game here.
It's incredibly difficult to go undefeated, even with an elite team. The past few years in the SEC is evidence of that.
I still think MSU is heavy favorites to win the West though regardless

I didn't realize that we've played 6 straight undefeated teams to start the season. The next game will be the first against a team with a L prior to playing us.

State has gotten possibly more attention than they deserve. Each week gets tougher from here on out. Good luck to them, enjoy it while it last
