Are night games truly an ADV for the home team?

Ole Miss has UT at home with a 6PM kickoff this SAT. Aside from the fact that we should just flat out kick their arse no matter what, is the night game an added benefit? Why is death valley more difficult at night? Do you believe night games are an ADV for the home team? TAMU fans need not respond.

Crowd at night= more people awake and drunk than a noon game.

Yes. Night games mean fans get more time to get drunk and scream louder.

I just don't see Ole Miss fans getting any drinker than normal. The thing that no one has mentioned is the time to kill for the away team outside your normal routine. There is so little to do in Oxford. UT will be board to tears before we play. Look for them to come out flat.

They're an advantage if the home team is within striking distance in the 4th quarter.

Better question: "Are noisemakers truly a disadvantage for the opposing team?"

Part of the lore of Tiger Stadium is the tradition of playing games at night, an idea that was introduced in 1931 against Spring Hill (a 35-0 LSU victory). In 2006, LSU celebrated its 75th year of playing night football in Tiger Stadium. Since that first night game in 1931, LSU has played the majority of its games at night and the Tigers have fared much better under the lights than during the day. Since 1960, LSU is 231-61-4 (.787) at night in Tiger Stadium compared to a 29-26-3 (.526) record during the day over that span. Since 2000, LSU is 65-6 in night games and head coach Les Miles is 40-2 in Saturday night games in Death Valley.
