In the 2nd quarter he caught a ball for 47yds. and, to my knowledge, never got another ball thrown his way.
First, did he get hurt and I just missed it?
Second, I know he looked like shite against Ole Miss but is there NO WAY we can figure out how to get the ball in his hands?
Sorry if this was discussed in the game thread.

Petrino would've lined him up at wr long time ago.

simple answer, hes not amari.
longer answer. i honestly dont recall kiffin using his te much at usc, i may be wrong. but it seems he used the wideouts and backs way more than the te.

I don't think he played a single snap in the second half.

He never has used the TE much. That said, if we'd line OJ Howard out as a WR, not unlike we did Drake on that first play against UF, and get him matched up against some linebackers in space he could abuse them. Obviously he has a different skill-set than Drake, but he would be no less of a matchup nightmare for a linebacker to have to cover 1 on 1 in space.

For all the physical attributes he possess the guy doesn't catch the ball very well, particularly in traffic. He doesn't break tackles. His natural mismatches are negated by his style of play. He's faster than linebackers tasked with covering him, that's about it right now. Hopefully it clicks for him one day but I doubt Sims has a lot of trust in OJ because he drops balls and rarely catches anything clean.

That play we completely stole from Florida because it worked against us. We could have run it all day.

Florida, Ole Miss, and Southern Miss ran that play against us. Depriest is lost covering the seam

Yeah, he doesn't have the speed to do it.
