Is it really that hard to find even an average college QB?

LSU fans, I apologize for laughing at your offense the past few seasons. A bad QB is sooo painful to watch.

And I like Sims. Seems like a good kid that loves Alabama, but he just isn't getting it done.

Spurrier has only found one since he's been here.

Takes a lot of mental work to be a good qb in addition to the physical. Comes easier to some with instinct but most don't have it.

You would think with the talent Saban has brought in, anyone with a pulse could play QB at Alabama. I mean, Alabama went 14-0 with McElroy at QB..

Must be.

Half the good quarterbacks in college football seem to come from Texas and the University of Texas hasn't found one in 5 years.

Has McCarron been our best QB? How'd that end last year. It's not always about the QB. This shite, the last couple of weeks, is not the QB's fault.

There is a list of problems.

I agree. Alabama's problems extend much deeper than QB play.

Is Sims really a bad QB, or are you guys just spoiled? As an LSU fan, I can't see how a guy who has 10 touchdowns and 3 ints, and completes 68% of his passes can be all that bad. He's definitely a step down from what you've had lately, but I wish we had him.

Yeah I'll trade him for Thompson.

Turnovers, penalties, undisciplined. It goes far beyond the QB.

I agree with you, but as many times as he hit one of our players in the chest with the ball, I have to wonder if he was confused which team he was on. We wore throwback uniforms that looked similar to Alabama's and sometime he just seemed to be throwing right at our players. Unfortunately, we still dropped them.

To answer the topic question, I think good quarterbacks are created by good coaching.
