It's not a shite job and it's his home state. He should of been the number 1 candidate.

To be honest I think It was for a few reasons. Long didnt want to steal a good coach away from another in state school, That would have caused some turmoil within the Gov section. He only had one year of head coaching experience, even though he is an amazing couch. I think he also had his heart set on Bert since he had sent that letter to him, praising him for doing what was right with the harley scandal. Both good hires for both schools IMHO.

We had the more money to pay Gus because we weren't having to spend it on players during the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
