Look good after playing 2 away games in a row? I went to both Ole Miss and Arkansas, and I have to tell you, back-to-back road games take a lot out of you. And if I feel this way imagine how drained the players are. I can't remember the last time Alabama did this (at least not while I've been here.) Last team I can think of off the top of my head was South Carolina in 2012 when they played at LSU and at UF in consecutive weeks. Now I'm not saying this is a blanket excuse for ALL of our play calling last night. Our secondary and special teams looked AWFUL, and our offense was nothing special (but give credit to Arky, this was one of the lowest scoring games since 9-6). It was a hard fought, ugly, scary game but our boys pulled it through. We have a lot to improve on, but at least we have a home game, and our players will be back in a friendly environment. People said that this schedule won't be easy, and it won't be. The days of 42-14 games are just about over. We need to look ahead and quit dwelling on the past. I'd rather have an ugly win like last night than a pretty loss like the IB or last week.

Roll Tide and on to Aggy.

I went to every game in 2009. That included back to back games in Lexington/Oxford and Auburn/Atlanta. It wasn't that tiring as a 21 year old. It's not like the team rode a bus to Fayetteville this weekend. They took a short plane ride, not an 11 hour bus ride.

You'd think we never had less than stellar performances on the road under Saban with the way most are reacting.

I thought our secondary was fine. Besides the one big play to #11 they were held mostly in check. The linebackers on the other hand can't really cover anyone but I suppose we should've known that coming into the season. Losing Whitley really sucks because I don't know if we even have anyone on the roster who could fill that role looking forward to the next year or two.
