Only two are playing on the O-line.
Center: Kelly/Bozeman- both 3-star
L Guard: Kouandjiio- 4-star
R Guard: Brown/Taylor- both 3-star
L Tackle: Robinson- 5-star
R-Tackle: Shepherd- 3-star

Might explain why the O-line isn't that great. And why running to the left side of the line has worked out the best. Bama can not run to the right, it get blown up just about every time. I think it's about time to put in some less experienced guys that have more potential.

I think oline coaching is the problem. Stoutland had the same type of recruits and we had a dominant oline.

Doesn't have a damn thing to do with stars. Coaches will play who gives us the best chance to win. Let them do their job.

Being a 4 or 5 star guy doesn't make you automatically better.

Guys like Shep aren't the most talented, but they start because of seniority and experience. At this point, that seniority and experience doesn't matter anymore, so it is time to play the talent. But Saban won't do that.

Warmack was a 3 star(I believe) and Tyler Love was a 5 star.

Who is more talented than Shep that you know of. Name names and how you know they are actually more talented.

Shep is a smart guy, knows his job. But he's not a very good athlete at Tackle and he's never really been one to play with power. Two games in a row now he and the RG both have been dominated.

Do I know for sure that others on the team are more talented? Nope. But if they're worse than he is from a talent standpoint, that doesn't make him talented, just means they're not great talents either. BUT we can't know if they're more talented or not because they haven't played. And the "if they were they'd play" excuse doesn't work when Saban is the coach.

something def needs to change on the oline ... it's 6 games into the season and the line struggled with the mighty arkansas razorbacks front 7 ... 66 rushing yards is a problem ...

Uh...yeah it still does. We lost a close game to the #2 team in the nation at their house, a game we should and could have won. Yeah...we played like crap against Arkansas but we still won. We still have to play the #1 team in Mississippi State and (what will be) a Top 5 Auburn team. If we win out we are most definitely in the playoffs.

For sure.

But if the right side of our line continues to be pushed back so consistently, we won't win those games.

Which is fricked up, because in 2008 and 2009 Saban did the opposite.

Saban likes "practice heroes" so the guys who practice the best will play the most. If you've been in the system a long time, you should practice better than someone who hasn't been there as long. In 08 the upperclassmen were just as new to the system as the young guys so they didn't have that edge.

That being said I'd like to see some changes on the OL. But I don't think Saban is holding back some great talent that is ready to maul people. If there was another Cam Robinson on the team he'd be playing too.

Go back and really look at the 2011 and 2012 Oline classes. Stoutland fricked us. He was an ok coach at times but was terrible at evaluating talent.

Oline recruiting has been in overdrive the past 2 classes to make up for it, and we are evaluating a lot better with Cristobal.
