Why does UK seem to be on the schedule of SEC west teams when they make MNC runs

2006 BCS Champion Florida played UK in east
2007 BCS Champion LSU played UK to 3OT in cross division game
2008 BCS Champion Florida played UK in east
2009 BCS Champion Alabama played UK in cross division game
2010 BCS Champion Auburn played UK in cross division game
2011 BCS Runner Up played UK in cross division game
2012 SEC expansion changes cycles, Alabama gets Mizzou
2013 1 second keeps Alabama from probable MNC game, UK is cross division game
2014 Mississippi State - still undefeated - plays UK in cross division game

Probably because until Stoops arrived UK was cursed in football, going all the way back to when Bear left.
