Guy from a paysite claiming they are presenting a case for Gurley next week and for the suspension to be 1 game. Also says he feels like they have a strong case

ETA: It's the same lawyer that Manziel used

We just need to threaten to sue the NCAA for allowing Gurley jersey's to be sold like AM did and they'll bow down. I can't believe we actually hired a legit law firm to handle this.

I wasn't here for the melt but if they'll lose the appeal there's still plenty of time.

What about AJ? We held him out and they still gave him 4 games.

Q: What is the penalty under NCAA rules for receiving an impermissible benefit?
A: It depends on the details of a case, but an important factor is how much money is received. NCAA guidelines call for a suspension of 10 percent of an athlete’s season for receiving $100 to $400, 20 percent for receiving $400 to $700 and 30 percent for receiving more than $700. Those guidelines indicate a suspension range of one to four games in football. However, the NCAA can increase or decrease the punishment from the guidelines depending on any aggravating or mitigating factors of a particular case. Before returning to NCAA competition, an athlete also is required to pay back the money by making a donation to charity in the same amount.

All depends on how much $ he received. And prior case rulings.

This is where the lawyer factor comes in.

Maybe UGA is trying to contain it to the 400 bucks so that is why we so quickly self imposed the suspension...you know like when you do something stupid...so you call yourself names and curse before the lady can get mad at you...
