By god if Butch doesn't cut it(which I think he will), who ever is coming in after him is going to have a stacked deck.

VOLS are up to #3 on 247 composite

I really wanna see how Butch crunches the numbers this year. We've still got a ton of heavy hitters on the board and already at 26 commitments.

Who are the remaining high priority guys left on the board?

I can only think of Phillips and Justin Martin.

Possibly another RB?

It looks like they want another RB. Frasier, Vaughn and Love seem to be the main targets. Reid is a possibility to decommit.

I think they're done at WR and TE.

They're gonna take another OL for sure. Butch seems to be going after guys that project at LT (Burrell, Allen, Sweet, Richmond)

They're also hard after D'Andre Walker and Kyle Phillips at DE.

Then at DB, obviously Martin is probably the main target now. Butch is still trying to flip Ugo from OM too.

Callahan said the other day that he could see Tennessee getting up to 30 commitments or so and if that happens, 4 or 5 guys currently committed would be out of a spot quickly.

It's definitely going to be interesting seeing how this shakes out. Gonna be a lot more number crunching this year compared to last year imo.

RB -

4* - Bryce Love
4* - Johnny Fraizer

OL -

4* - Matt Burrell
4* - Pat Allen
5* - Drew Richmond
3* - William Sweet

DE -

4* - D'Andre Walker
4* - Kyle Phillips

OLB -

4* - Ricky DeBerry
4* - Quarte Sapp

CB -

4* - Justin Martin
4* - UGO Amadi
4* - Mook Reynolds
4* - Mark Fields

All those come right off top of the head as us being in the final 2 or 3 or trying to flip them and getting visits still.

A lot of chatter, across various message boards, that our coaching staff wants Phillips at OT. He plays there in highschool, and the word is that he's just as impressive on that side of the ball.

Butch is assembling some awesome talent. I've said from the get-go that he reminds me of our situation. Just need to win some games now!

Interesting. Where did you see that?

And maybe Phillips could be an OT but I can't help but feel like he's not gonna max out his potential there.

Someone said it after the Florida game on one of the sites. Apparently he has a source, he's not one to talk out his arse.

Then the fact we take a commitment from his teammate.....don't think it's a coincidence.

Yeah, I'll let the coaches make the call on position. He has said he doesn't mind playing on offense. I think he's a kid you just want to get on campus and see where he fits.

It might belong in a different thread, but per the latest update we are 100% recruiting Phillips as an OT.
