What if this is a set up?

Now that my melt is over, I started to wonder if this was a set up. So let's look at the proof, or lack thereof.
Did some random turn him in or was it the one who supposedly paid him? If the latter, then what was the motive? What if this is a setup by a rival fan? Or fan/family member who wants someone else to win the heisman? Inquiring minds want to know...

If that ends up being the case (I don't think it is but you never know), then hopefully whoever stooped that low ends up being shunned like a leper and ends up homeless under a bridge somewhere giving handys for spare change for taquitos at QT

Interesting.... TMZ has edited a shitload of content out of that link.... an hour ago they had alot more tidbits, including the fact the alleged seller of the alleged video was a UF grad living in Rome GA. The article had some specific dollar amounts too.
TMZ would have only edited if they realized or suspected some of it wasnt true, to insulate themselves from potential lawsuits in the future.
The fact TMZ is editing themselves, this is a good sign.

I don't get why everyone is being so careful to protect the anonymity of the person accusing him. I get if people are protecting a source or whatever but if the guy sent out his email and cell # to all these places, surely his info will get out at some point.
