I'm glad we play it by the book.

I support every effort by the UGA administration to adhere to the rules, even if we're in the minority. I know it's fashionable to cheat, because cheaters prosper in the NCAA system, but I'd rather see our program err on the side of integrity.
No doubt there are some trolls weighing in here today, but any UGA fan blaming CMR, or Greg McGarity, or UGA for today's news should consider switching their allegiance to Auburn. It's a better fit for both parties, IMO.

Championships outweigh morality. That's why we watch sports.

You think I gaf that McGuire or bonds juiced? frick no. Cheat and win us a god damn motherfricking championship. Gurley plays on Saturday or I'm rebelling and gathering an angry mob.

Thanks for the responses. Look into Auburn, or FSU, etc. There are plenty of programs that fit your win at all cost mentality. UGA isn't one of them and you've made a bad choice.

Not blaming them for it but if they don't do everything within the rules to keep him eligible then they're failing to do their jobs. Welcome to the gray of college football.
I'm pretty sure no aTm or auburn fan has lost sleep over how they handled their situations.
I also think it depends on what happened. Pretty sure if Gurley had raped someone, we wouldn't have the same anger at the administration.

Integrity gets you no SEC Championships since the heavy hitters rejoined the league in the late 2000s. Integrity can beat Lou Holtz, Mike Shula, Tommy Tuberville, and co, but how has integrity done against Saban, Miles, Malzan, and Meyer?
If I want to be preached to about morals and doing the right thing, Ill go to church.

Thanks for proving my point. UGA has nothing to offer for you. The Auburn Walmart has a Cam Newton jersey waiting for you. Go ahead and embrace reality.

Those schools had NCAA issues but basically said "we're conducting business as usual until you find any proof we did anything wrong". Guess what shithead? Those schools played for the national title last year. They have both won a title in the last 4 years.
What do we do? We derobe and grab ankles and let the NCAA have their way all in teh name of "playing by the rules" and we end up wasting 2 once in a generation players (1 the best we've ever had at his position, the other the 2nd best at his position) because we think it'll give us lenience.
News flash pussy: the NCAA doesn't care about nice. They aren't going to say "well golly gee, UGA was so helpful for us let's just let bygones be bygones". They're going to hammer us to the wall so they can proclaim to the nation how good they are at enforcing their rules.
FSU, Auburn, A&M, alabama, and many others have it right. We don't.

Get the frick out.
If you want fricking morality in college football go be a fan of a fricking Sun Belt or FCS school instead of Georgia or any other school in a power 5 conference.

There's always a rationale for cheating. That's nothing new. But it's not the Georgia way. UGA is not willing to compromise the University system in order to better compete with the cheaters.
I'm sorry, you're not going to convince anyone at UGA to play by Auburn's "code". Not under CMR, not under whomever replaces CMR when he decides to leave. If you're a UGA fan, best to accept that now. Otherwise, take your anatomical slang insults to a fan base that better fit your ideology. You'll be much happier in the long run because this is not a good fit for you.

Why should I leave? I'm happy rooting for UGA, because we do it right. You, on the other hand, are cursing in vain. You won't win this battle, assuming you're actually a Georgia fan. Might as well give up and pull for the cheaters.

But it's not the Georgia way.
I remember when the "Georgia way" was kicking arse and taking names. Not bending down to allegations from seedy people who've probably never held a real job in their life and dropped out of middle school.

Who gives a frick about the university system?

And that's why they've played for 2 national titles the last 4 years and had 3 undefeated seasons the last 2 decades and we haven't. Maybe we shoudl play by their "code".

Feel free. They'll welcome you with open arms. It's the Auburn way, no doubt, and their fans are in 100% agreement with whatever level of corruption is needed to succeed. Georgia, however, is not going to compromise integrity to satisfy your need to live vicariously through a sports team. Just accept your nature and move on. There's nothing for you here, not a good fit.
