Is it only a matter of time before the cowbells are outlawed?

now that DWS has expanded to close in one of the endzones, i'd imagine the noise level is higher than ever.
Curious as to what state fans think, and others as well... most of the conference has tolerated them b/c, let's face it, winning in starkville hasn't exactly been difficult... but with an established coaching staff and talent (and 15,000 more fans), it's getting harder.

They won't be outlawed, but even if they are, do you really think it will keep them out of DWS?

they'll be back to square one again in no time, and people will continue not caring what they want to do to try and get the advantage

So you are already conceding the victory on Saturday and this will be what Gus goes to Papa Slive with on Monday
Fitting for another Auburn pussy-arse coach gets his feeling hurt like Shugbitch Jurden did

It really amazes me that the SEC will make an exception for those.
MSU should be fined $10,000 the first game that they are used in a season, $50,000 the second, and $100,000 every subsequent game.
I mean, if UGA fans all started bringing in airhorns I'm sure that'd be addressed with teh quickness. This is no different.

I really wish opposing fans would bring cowbells and ring them during plays. That would get them outlawed.

We will just start a crowd funding program to pay for all of our fines.

think about IF they'll be around in the future... not SHOULD they be around.

If it gets y'all 15 yard penalties I bet it would.

Can't wait until we start our tradition of nautical air horns.
It'll be awesome.

The NCAA would have to put the crowd noise rule back in place for that to happen.

If you've ever had some drunk State fan ring one in your ears for a couple of hours at every first down or tackle, then you'll want to throw the jerk off the top of the stadium. They should be banned or at the least muffled somehow.

Dude, it's fricking State.
I've always seen it as their handicap.

Depends on how important 15 yard penalties are to your fans.

I'm pretty sure Arizona State or some school was penalized a few years ago for artificial noisemakers. A few fans had whistles and kept blowing them.

Just more yardage for Dak to gain.

Ultimately yes. But I think the question is, lets say MSU put together a few competitive seasons, or actually won the west once. Expanded the stadium and closed the gap on the blue blood programs are they still awarded a handicap?
Granted all those things aren't likely to happen so i expect (and i kind of like them) they stay.

Was probably when the rule was still in place.
