I'm not about to hate on a walkon. He has every right to say what he said. Those guys bust their balls in practice and scout team, knowing full well they'll probably never see the field. They're all heart.

They shouldn't be focused on the fans. I think if you asked anyone in any profession or walk of life whether they'd rather have backers than critics you would get a unanimous answer. Kid needs to quit whining on Twitter.
Don't want to hear him preach about "faithful" either. We sell out every Saturday and have for quite some time. Our optimism towards the team is controlled by the play of the team.
I'm all for positive vibes but shite like that just rubs me the wrong way. Apparently he has never heard Saban say "worry about what you can control"
If they want optimism they should focus on becoming the team they're capable of being. I don't think anyone is writing them off in October. We're going to show up in Bryant Denny and watch either way. These kids have as much support as any team in the country, they go out and lay an egg and this kid gets his feelings hurt when fans aren't pumping sunshine. I wasn't even mad saturday, disappointed is a better word.

If they want optimistic fans then give us something to be optimistic about. Play well and quit being one of the most penalized teams in tSEC.
There are still going to be over 100,000 fans at BDS next week, and it's not like we are boo birds towards our own team ala LSU fans. We are going to be critical when we see the same mistakes with penalties and turnovers again and again.

You can be a faithful fan and still be critical. Lord knows I watched enough terrible arse football as a faithful fan while being openly critical of how things go.
The reality is though he needs to realize he plays at Alabama. You're going to get heat if you lose to Ole Miss. Those fans will still show up but you're going to get heat. The expectations are part of what makes great programs a great program.

frick this mentality. My 2013 teammates from another generation finished top 10 at NCAA's and will never see 10,000 fans, yet alone that many bama fans. Hell my team even had an athlete give up his life saving his gf and still 0 fricks are given about us. Swimming (and diving lol) will gladly take any fan who doesn't have to register and alert neighbors when they move.
