Are State and OM fans secretly salty that they have to share the spotlight?

The one time State is ranked #3 and they have to share it with their counterparts from Oxford..and the other way around for Ole Miss. Surely you guys can't be legitimately happy for one another? Where's tLandmass trash talk..I wanna know who Auburn should fear more as the 2nd contender in the West.

It's quite shocking diddy.. never at any point last season when both AU and Bama were in the top 5 did I act how they are acting towards each other right now

I look at it from a UofL/UK perspective on the basketball end. You fricking hate the other school and wish them at least a strong case of Mono. But it's pretty damn glorious when your whole state is front and center in your respective sport. And it's fun to poke fun at other prominent states (see North Carolina in basketball) over it.

That's weird because I never saw it that way when Auburn and Alabama were both in the top 5. I could understand why some would see it that way I guess

Not at all. It has actually brought tLandmass closer together. Newfound success for both teams that has been lacking in the past. We will continue to support each other until thanksgiving day when the future national champion will be decided and the opposing fan base commits mass suicide and the hate commences

I really don't know how to feel about it.
I've come to realize that I think we hate each other the most when we both suck. Some of this dickriding of each other I think can be attributed to how downtrodden the state of MS is as a whole. We constantly are talked down to and shite on, and having both of our schools beatng the shite out of legitimate programs is refreshing to see.
I'll probably get happy when State ends up losing, but my true friends who are state fans seem legitimately congratulatory, and vise versa for me.
