Concerning Bama, Kiffin, and the loss to Ole Miss

Did it seem to anybody else that in the second quarter Kiffin had found the way to completely dominate the rest of the game... i.e. run to the left side behind Cameron? It appeared unstoppable....
and then it seemed like he abandoned it.
and then it seemed like he abandoned it.

He didn't abandon it. He went back to it on the first drive in the 2nd half, then stalled out around the OM 30.
Then he abandoned it.
Then he abandoned it.

I can't remember much of the 3rd and 4th quarters but you're right. There was one drive when we ran to the left 4-5 times in a row, seemed like each play was 8-12 yards.

Auto-upvote and yes, he went away from it early in the second half. Why? Who knows.

Sometimes these guys just outthink themselves. I have much respect for Kiffin as an OC, by the way... just not as a person.

Yeah, I saw this as well......felt like Bama had found something there and would ride it out for the remainder of the game!!!

You have to take into account Ole Miss's D shading the left side after the Bama TD drive

The offense was money until we got to the 30. That shite was so frustrating.

Yep. I can't believe I haven't brought this up or seen a TON of comments about it. Agreed, it seems like we could have certainly played to that a lot more than we did. Perhaps you put it away until late in the 4th when you wanna either pull away or hit them with something that's been effective when you're not doing well.

Rex's posts that aren't on the poliboard are actually of good quality, for the most part.

I saw that as well. Maybe Kiffin was saving that for the final drive...then the fumble...who knows. When Bama got it back they had to pass because of the clock. Bears deserved that one though...down 14-3 at half and suffered a tough call.

Makes you kinda wonder, doesn't it? nah........ he's plain crazy politically. It's what happens when an overactive brain doesn't know how to interpret what is fed him on tv or the internet.

Bama had near 400 yards on offense. Penalties and dropped balls on 3rd down caused the vast majority of the stalled drives.

OJ had a pretty bad game. Not only the drops but two holding calls - the first you could see him limping back to the line and was just not ready for the play to start, and that last one took away a huge first down around the 20 (?) with plenty of time. That's when Blake threw the pick deep in the end zone - on 2nd and long.
