What matters this weekend in the State-AU game

A long way from 3-2 isn't it.
Just like that game doesn't matter, Auburn's history in this series doesn't matter. They are facing the best Mississippi State team in history.
At some point, people are going to realize that State might actually be a decent team curb stomping teams left and right. What appears to be the best division in sports history quickly becomes a division full of the "worst teams in years" for schools that lose to State.
State has trailed once all year against the toughest schedule so far in the nation (ESPN FPI). Every team that Mississippi State has played has been undefeated when they took the field - including this one in Week 7. Its never been done before.
You remember in the preseason when everyone was laughing at the Landmass schools' expectations. Most people looked at the three game stretch of LSU, A&M and Auburn and said, State might get one of those.
You remember which one was the prevalent choice - it was Auburn. Just because we got the other two doesn't mean that has changed. We are going to beat Auburn. The fact that we might be #1 in the nation when we play our next game aside, Auburn was always the one that we were going to pick off this year.
It will be the first of three games that you are going to get pounded on the road this year. Remember those three home games you won in the final seconds last year - MSU, UGA and Alabama. Schedules are cruel in which usually you have to travel to those teams the next year. I have maintained that Auburn will most definitely lose those three games. Starting Saturday.
Get ready to suck our Dak, Auburn.

I think all that matters is that everyone has a great time. That makes everyone a winner.

Having said that, MSU has been impressive, but I've been on the State bandwagon since this summer. AU wins a close one on a NM pass to Duke late in the fourth.

Welp. That seals it. The rant's opinion is always right. Everyone knows that.
The rant is especially accurate when predicting Auburn's game too. I don't think they've ever got one wrong.

MSU has the 13th ranked defense in the SEC and you struggled against the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Miss State is definitely improved, but I'm not ready to look at them like they're the new Bama.

We heard the same exact thing before both the LSU game and the A&M game.
Our defense gave up all those massive yards after we started cruising. That's the truth.
Look, Auburn might beat us easily but if the Auburn coaches go by the '13th ranked SEC defense', then you're screwed.

And yet we are still 5-0 and held A&M's offense to 10 points in the first half and had our way will Kenny Trill Hill throughout the game sacking him 5 times and intercepting him 3 times.
What you MSU haters need to look at and realize is that we are averaging nearly 600 yds of total offense per game, and have been up BIG against everybody we have played going into the 4th quarter.

248 yards given up in the first half. They gained 526 total. That means 47% of their total yardage was gained in the first half the game. Pretty even, huh?

No man, you're doing it wrong. Go calculate the 2nd & 3rd drives of the 1st qtr, then the 2nd of the 2nd qtr, then the 1st and 2nd drives of the 3rd, and only the 1st of teh 4th qtr.

Here's some solid and accurate information.
After A&M came out and scored on their opening drive, it took them nine drives to muster 3 points.
You'd think after the last three weeks of beating the brakes off LSU and A&M, you Auburn fans would figure out that UAB game doesn't really matter.
I think Auburn's defense is better than A&M, so I'll go 38-21 State instead of us dropping a half a hundred on you.
Kentucky gets to host #1 team in country in three weeks.

MSU is improved, I was worried about this game before the season. Not so much now.

I don't think you are going to find too many Auburn fans that don't think State is good...Auburn fans in general have a ton of respect for MSU. So does our team. Most of our team watched the State game and know that they are going to have their hands full.
On the other side, it appears State fans are a bit overconfident. I am hoping your team feels the same way. I don't have any doubt that the teams are pretty evenly matched...and if whoever has the better day wins.
Having said that, Auburn at 100% is unbeatable. State at 100% isn't.
