This. We don't need 15k more seats. Make it nicer, not bigger.

Tiger walk would stay the same. Difference is that the players would enter the stadium and walk to the other side.

The problem is the space and ability to build a big facility requires either moving plainsman park or going to the other side.

It is POSSIBLE they would actually move the student section as well, but doubtful. Worried about folks having there seats moved.

Some empty seats means maybe I can get some cheaper tickets....so that's cool with me.

I assume this is all being negotiated with the SECN money being used as a financial cushion. I think without it we wouldn't even consider any upgrades/expansion for years to come. I really hope JJ knows what he's doing if he does intend expanding 15,000 seats. I love my Auburn Tigers as my has anyone but IMO we really are one of the smaller schools. Do we have the fanbase/alumni to justify building a 102,000 seat stadium. Its terrible seeing entire sections completely empty on the OOC warm up games we play.

I don't think we need the seats, but we do need the sky boxes. From what I understand, there is a huge demand and a long waiting list for the boxes... and they generate big revenue. There definitely needs to be a new HD video board on the north end. The students and recruits have to look behind them to see the video action.

yeah... 15,000 is way too many... new sky boxes in the north EZ and and new jumbotron in the south EZ, along with an exterior facelift, i can get on board with.

100k+ is excessive. Yeah, we're beginning a run that we haven't seen here in a while, but it won't last forever. We won't keep selling out the ULM and FAUs of the world.

Bump it up past 90k with box seating and give it a facelift.

100k for the sake of an arms race is dumb.

Would redo the press box and move print media to the end zone is one rumor I heard. New sound system HAS to be done. N

i'd love to see the sports media guys moved just for all their tweets/comments bitching about it... sports journalists are some of the whiniest/laziest people on the planet.

I see what you are saying....but the extra seats will generate more dollars which can be used in other areas. We also need to upgrade some of the internal facilities to keep up with the joneses also.

If they are going to expand to over 100k, its not going to bother me one bit. Just as long as the do the renovations(which Im sure they will). The stadium going 100k would be pretty sweet. Im not against it and its not really a big deal either way.

Back in the Paleozoic era when I was a student and dinosaurs walked the earth, both team locker rooms were under the South stands and they both came out of the tunnel right under where the band sits now. The visiting team would come out first.

Milk bone dog biscuits were said to be thrown at the UGA team and whole oranges at the UTk team though I cannot independently verify.

Look I've got $400 and a case of coronas. I'm going to call up Xzibit and see if he will hook us up with a sound system.

Sounds from what I have read on MessageBoardGossip.com that this is a multipart thing. If so, sky boxes have been in demand for a long time so they should go in. If we keep doing well and there is the demand for attendance then we start on the South Endzone upperdeck.

Keep some flexibility/potentially add more box seats instead of upperdeck.

Actually, only the visiting team used the tunnel where the band is now. Auburn used the tunnel where the recruits are now. The middle tunnel in the south end zone didn't even exist then.
