A while back, I made this thread about Mississippi State's chances in 2014, and this thread about their quarterback Dak Prescott... At the time, I thought both threads had potential to be true in the future. The team had shown flashes while returning a ton of the two deep, and Dak Prescott was every bit of a crazy talented offensive threat.

However, is it possible that even I underestimated their ability? This team had come out and played lights out, without any fricking doubt. I labeled them as a trap game during the off-season for Auburn, but now they're one of the top teams in the nation.

Is it crazy for me to say I think they are the best team in the SEC, even over Auburn? I think not...

They are a 2 loss team. Possibly 3 if they lose to Auburn.

With a little luck and some fortunate bounces they could be playing in ATL come December.

I think the offense is really good. The defense is not as good as the offense but may be good enough. I will be interested to see how they do against a well-balanced offense this weekend.

Auburn will start Jeremy Johnson. Gus Malzahn has been watching a lot of the UAB tape.

And by between, you mean greater than both.

How good is LSU and A&M (after watching them almost lose to Ark and USC getting beat by UK)? They are good, but a little early to starting crowning them. If they beat AU, that's another matter. Still early in the year for both MS teams. Bama is not out of it either.

i've always thought mullen was a good coach who simply didn't have enough talent there ... he's got talent now, and he's coached em up ... they are good enough to dominate lsu for 3 quarters, and no matter how far lsu may have fallen, lsu still has lsu talent ... they have a tough row to hoe, as any team in the west does ... trolling aside, they are as capable of playing for an sec title/national title as any other team in the west/country ...

If we beat Auburn we won't lose more than 1 game. We have UK, Arky, UT Martin, Bama, Vandy and OM left after that.

Bama and OM would be the only remaining threats and at worst we split those 2 if we beat AU.

Auburn is the best team we will face. Bama is not that good I've watched all their games and they haven't looked great in any of them. OM is solid but still lack of a running game will hurt y'all.

We played vanilla our first 3 games. We did well v. LSU but need to learn how to finish. I was not sure after LSU but after yesterday, this team can be good. Dak has to stay healthy obviously and it worries me at times when he runs as often as he does and just won't quit. I would like to see more blitz packages earlier but Collins makes a hell of a lot money than I do.

We have someone in place to sabotage their elevator and will mess up their 2nd half game plan.

Both fine threads. Henty Jones was trying his best to shite up the Dak thread.
